Mommy's journey + pre-braces pics

Hi,

I am 31 years old and I will be getting braces on in July. I am getting new insurance that will cover part of my cost, that's why I have to wait 3 months! I am really excited to finally start my journey toward beautiful teeth! I've been reading through everyone's stories here and like the idea of keeping track of your progress. I'm looking forward to share my future progress with you.

I am attaching my pictures - o, man I had no idea how difficult is to take picture of my own teeth Seeing my teeth so close, I am little embarassed how crooked and ugly they look... I can't wait to get that fixed.

I am getting bottom braces on first, to make room for my impacted tooth (I will be getting surgery to expose it and put bracket on it - so scared), my bottom teeth will be straightened out - they are now tipped towards my gap. Then sometimes later my top braces will be put on and somehow my huge overjet will be hopefuly reduced. I was told I will be braced for 24 months and I am getting Radiance clear brackets on both top and bottom.

PS: English is my second language, I am still working on improving my grammar, so I apologize for any present and future grammar mistakes.

hi to everyone here,

mommy your teeth are nice and white and they will look stunning at the end, like you i had my bottom braces put on first to make room ect.

my top ones go on soon.

i had to get metal on the bottom cos they will withstand the force that my ortho needs to apply with the placement of tad's.

i will however get clear on the top 6 and metal for the rest.

i'm 6 weeks into treatment and coping ok

i'm back at the dentist in 2 days for more metal thingies and a wire change.

keep us all updated.

i found waterpik and a great electric toothbrush make a massive difference with cleaning.

I have to agree with the others. You have gorgeous teeth. I just know they'll be perfectly brilliant when you are finished with treatment.

I am finally braced! It's been a long time in waiting!

I am 5 days in and feeling great - loving my new clear braces!

I was in a lot of pain when I got my spacers on first (I had to get metal ones on one side because they didn't find enough room for regular ones) so I expected braces coming on will be even more painful, but it wasn't. Luckily I have only bottom braces on for now and two molars on my right side aren't part of it yet. I have appointment with oral surgeon in August to see what is going to happen with my impacted tooth (I am sooo scared - wish this part would be already behind me).

You've got colgate teeth. Once they are straightened they will be so georgeous. Check out Catygirls page. Her overbite reminds me of yours. Of course now hers is pretty much gone. I have an overbite/overjet combo. Way more overjet though, but it's finally reducing and I am getting excited.
