Thanks for asking!

I think I have. I just got back from an adjustment and I talked to my ortho a bit about it. He actually told me to ask my dentist about maybe doing a temporary bonding to that tooth for a few months and then pulling after the wedding. So if they can't do that than I am going to get it pulled. I just hate the way it looks.

My adjustment today was pretty uneventful. Just had my ligs changed out and went from having a wire tie on my wayward canine to a having a lig so that was good. I just need to make an appt with my dentist now to talk about that silly baby tooth.

That is actually and extra tooth so he is going to work on moving the back teeth forward. Its going to leave some space in the very back when I am done since I have what he considers narrow teeth. Depending on how much space is there I may need to consider an implant in the back but I honestly think its going to be fine. I have a small mouth and now my molars are as far back as they can go.

:-* :-* :-* :-*

Super happy today! I went to my dentist's office today to have a cleaning and discuss options for that tooth. He doesn't want me to have a gap either so he is going to make me a temporary crown for the wedding. And the great part is, its only going to cost me $175 out of pocket. Normally its a lot more but he wants me to look great for my wedding. All of the assistants were there gathered around me and they were super excited to make my teeth as beautiful as possible for the wedding. One girl there had metal brackets for her wedding too. She told me that she requested a white wire and tooth colored elastics. They doubled up on the elastics and in the pictures you can't even tell she had braces on. I really couldn't be more excited!

On a side note she said I was doing a great job with my cleaning. She gave me a special floride varnish to help with sensitivity. I asked about how yellow my teeth are getting and she said it was completely ok to use whitening tooth paste. Especially if I am going to whiten after anyway.

Happy Dance for me today!

Thought I would give everyone an updated photo. Tomorrow is my two month mark. I didn't take a pic of my upper arch until a couple weeks after my brace day which I really regret. You can't see much difference yet from the front but you can here. My wayward canine is now on the right side. It still hits the bottom but its on the outside of the bottom now. The gap next to my lateral is slowly closing. I can now almost bite down all the way again which is super exciting.

Ok, I need advice. I know I don't get many responses on my thread but I was hoping people could tell me what they think of my new temp crown.

I am not sure I like it. I almost think it stands out more than what I had before. Is it just me? Is it just because it doesn't have a bracket on it? Or is it just because I know its new and not real? I just wanted it to blend in more and look more normal but I am not sure we achieved that. Is it possible to have a bracket put on a temp crown? I am kind of freaking out. I feel like I might have just wasted 175 dollars because I still don't like it. blah.....

Another thing that is completely bothering me is that my midline is a mess. I am sure that isn't helping matters at all. My wedding is in less than two months. I am beginning to wish I would have waited. Oh wait, I didn't like my smile then either.

I like it! I bet it will look good in your pictures because you will have more of a defined tooth.

Can your otho put a bracket on it? I like what your dentist did but think that maybe it stands out more since there is no bracket on it.
You r used to what u have seen all your life and perhaps its just too new for u to feel ok with the change.
Did u ask your dentist if it was possible for ortho to put a bracket and lig on it and just for the wedding a wire also since that would make it blend in with the others?
I think u mentioned that they had done this with someone else and i am wondering how they handled that too.
Try calling your ortho and let him know
Good luck
