Had my 1st braces emergency!

#1 Post by Leelee37 »

A wire popped out of a bracket and was poking me in the cheek. Got it fixed today. The technician said it might continue to occur until I have "heavier" wires. Heavier? These are bad enough.

Im glad that you were able to get it fixed and it didn't happen on a weekend when most offices are closed.

That happened to me several times when I had my lighter wire on too. It is a pain to deal with but at least it is an easy fix.

Those lighter wires have an important function, but they do tend to pop out a bit more.

The heavier wires aren't necessarily worse, just different. I think all my worst pain was with the lighter wires because the teeth were moving around so much with them.
