Okay a little update on my teeth (I know I really need to post a new pic) I go tomorrow to find out if i have 4 or 8 weeks left. I am not getting my hopes up and am assuming one more adjustment and then begin the process of removal which involves the molar bands off then a couple weeks later the brackets and BRACE FREE!!!

My teeth look near perfect I just want to confirm my two front teeth are COMPLETELY PERFECT, sometimes I think they are on an angle, right now I think one is sticking out like .5mm more than the other so I want them perfect. I have a VERY SMALL , VERY VERY small open bite space on my right still, not sure if its as good as it gets or not AND my midline is BARELY off maybe 1mm, so not sure too if that's as good as it gets. That's it, would love if those could be fixed and off in 4 weeks but if it's 8 then it's 8, that's about 62 days away so reasonable. I am a couple days away from 18 months in braces and that was his LOWEST possible date (but they thought more like 28 or 32 months in the beginning) So I can't complain that I will be done a year ahead of what I was preparing for.

Oh and last time I had to write comments on a sheet, remember the 5 final questions soooooo I guess we will be discussing those and really I am just going to ask about those 3 things.

Crossing everything "crossable" for good news at your appointment tomorrow! I just looked at your last set of pics again, and girl, if my teeth looked like yours, I'd insist on getting the braces off NOW! They look fantastic!

I do see the teeny open bite that you have on the right side. That's pretty much what my left side looks like, and upon closer inspection of my teeth, I don't think I'm going to get much better than what they are now due to the shape of the teeth, and because I had an extraction on that side, so the teeth don't line up exactly like they used to. He can't shave those teeth much because one tooth is almost all filling. So, I am very curious as to what your ortho says about your open bite.

My next appointment is on Friday, and I think I'm going to just tell him that I don't expect absolute perfection, because my teeth were so far from perfect when we started. But I want him to do the best he can possibly do with what he has to work with.

I have the same small open bite on the left but my ortho said it wouldn't get any better and if he fixed that it would change the right side. I do have a terrible midline shift but he messed that up and to fix it completely I'd have to have both upper and lower jaw surgery (not gonna happen). I'm suppoed to get debraced next month (hopefully).

So good news I have a DEBRACE DATE ..........bad new it's a couple weeks after I hoped but it is this summer .......

AUGUST 22nd !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 8am

69 days away !!! I have another adjustment in 4 weeks, then 4 weeks later 7 molar bands (one came out because wire was too short) removed then 2 weeks later brackets REMOVED and lower permanent bar only and upper hawley!! I will wear the upper retainer for 6 weeks (24/7) then to nights only forever. They said no lower retainer that the permanent is all that is needed, not sure if I agree but ortho was A GRUMPY A** today , first time in 18 months he was miserable. Snappy when I said I thought my midline was off, he's like NO ITS PERFECT and just a grumpy grump. UGHHHHH I said I wanted my upper front tooth fixed a bit and he's working on the open space on the right. So I think my teeth will be perfect after that. I saw them for the first time in forever with no wire and they looked really good. Here is a pic from before my adjustment (the powerchain was nasty again) I am so looking forward to white teeth.

I may have to stay summer drunk for the next 69 days (not that I wouldn't be summer drunk already) but I am sure my anxiety is going to get bad LOL. Must find distractions.

Anyway here is a couple pics (pre-adjustment) they are looking really good. And yeah he says thats a perfect midline so whatever mr grumpy ortho, I guess he is the professional. LOL He was short with the other 2 clients too, some body woke up on the wrong side of the bed this morning

Couple more pics. Isn't the purple elastics less noticeable . I am in upside triangles FOR ETERNITY or aka 69 days. I think they said next time I will have 2 triangles on each side ?? who knows, I was afraid to be snapped at more so I didn't ask more questions. I was also a little pissed that it seemed to be delayed 2 weeks because they were too busy or closed I don't want to be in these things even a minute longer than necessary

Oh be prepared for my crazy happy excited blog entries about what I am going to do for debrace date. Though I think I am watching 3 kids that week ( I call them birth control, my nephews and my friends kid, pre teens, ohhh it's fun especially when they start fighting 24/7 and getting bored. LOL

Elle - I am ECSTATIC for you!! To have an actual date is so exciting. Like I said before, I think your teeth are perfect NOW, but I get that he wants to fine-tune as much as he can.

I got a "tentative" debanding date (well, not date, but approximate MONTH) of September. Actually, I asked him, "So... September?" and he said, "That seems do-able." We shall see...

46 days 21 hours 32 min 15 sec...............Not that I am counting

Okay just a quick update because I got millions of house guests and barely survived a reunion with a bunch of rude selfish family members. SERENITY NOW SERENITY NOW!!

So I had an adjustment yesterday and he did some major tweaking cause things were really sore. You know when you accidentally hit your front teeth together OUCHIE!!!

I am in upside down triangle elastics still and will be getting molar bands off in 4 weeks then some funky elastics that sound a bit like I will not be able to open my mouth for weeks.

My only issues are my front teeth need just a tiny tiny bit of moving, and lower tooth a bit lower then my small open gap on right just a bit..... okay that sounds confusing I really need to post a pic later today.

I am getting super excited but trying to stay patient, hard to believe that next month I will feel less awkward and will be brace free.

Ohhh and my mouth was so sore from all the talking and had to use so much wax I am soooo ready to be done.

Off to the beach!!! Least I will not have a million mirrors to look in and see if anything has moved lol I really don't think I could handle the disappointment if they said I wasn't done next month

I could have had my braces off at my next appointment but I 'complained' that my bite still doesn't feel right on my right side so that means I could be in braces another 3ish months instead of 1 month, argh.
