It seemed so slow and painful
First couple of weeks, then all of a sudden they started moving

Well Im here again. Had my adjustment today, dentist thrilled with my teeth (havent seen him in about 5 weeks). Kept grinning at me, and then flipped through my teeth photos in my phone with his assistant and asked for copies of them - hehehe.

New wire today but........

he says I could consider having braces off next time!
Oh
My
God!.

It's supposed to be December, not end of August!

To be fair, I might not...he says go home, look in the mirror a lot over new couple of weeks, be as critical as possible and then check that I'm happy. Have booked August review as normal and will take a decision that day.
Gulp!

Am in shock...
Will try and post another pic tomorrow, but phone out of charge at the mo...

Hi Deeley

Welcome to the board. Your story interested me as I can relate to it to a degree-I also had a dental phobia which prevented me from doing this as a teen.
If my kids need braces, i dont want to feel like a hypocrite if i havent done it too.
I can totally relate to the above comment-my son (who is a year) also has my diastema and I wanted to get this out of the way before he was old enough to ask what the things on my teeth were etc

Fast forward to the age of 24 and I have done it-Upper ceramics to close my diastema. I am so pleased with the progress I have had in 2 months already (I have been told up to 9 months for treatment-2nd adjustment tomorrow!)
