This is my story about my teeth improvement project. I'm a late 30s male from a country in Scandinavia. English is not my first language, but I hope you can understand what I write.
Since my late teens I have known that my lower jaw was tilted to the right and that my front teeth were crooked. I didn't think much about it at the time but a few years ago I asked my dentist if there was something I could to about the crowding of my front teeth. She gave me the number to an orthodontist, but for some reason I didn't call for TWO years......
When I finally called and visited the orthodontist she took a quick look at me and told me she thought I should see an oral surgeon instead. I had never thought that it was possible to fix my lower jaw, but now that I had the chance I accepted.
After a few visits to the surgeon at the hospital I was accepted for treatment and was sent back to the orthodontist to start my 12 months of braces before the surgery.
Health care is free where I live and I only pay a small amount for my treatment. The downside is that there is a lot of waiting time. The evaluation before I got accepted for treatment took one year......
Here is the BEFORE picture. I do not want to show any more of my face, but this picture shows my teeth and gives a hint of my lower jaw.

Bye bye first premolars......

Here is the current status: Brackets are on my upper jaw and I have rubber rings to make room for molar bands. The rubber bands does not hurt, except when I try to chew. Soft food, please.

This is the current status. I will get the upper wire and the molar bands in a few days.
... and I promise to shave before taking any more pictures.
