Exciting news. I got my braces off today. My teeth feel so smooth. I opted to get both upper and lower permanent retainers. I will try to post a picture of my finished smile soon.

Thank you! Speaking of a holiday treats, my ortho and his staff are awesome. As a completion celebration, they gave me a caramel apple, various candy, and IZZE Sparkling Juice. It was like a surprise birthday party just for me. Caraway Orthodontics are the best. http://www.carawayortho.com/index.html

Thank you! Getting them off was actually quick and painless. The metal bottom brackets were easier than the top as they snapped right off. The upper ceramic brackets can crack/crumble when they come off, so it sounded weird. The worst part was the smell of removing the glue as it smelled like it was burning. The longest part was putting on the permanent retainers. It took a little while to get used to the permanent retainers, but now they feel fine and I hardly notice them. The funniest part was brushing my teeth for the first time, since my teeth were so slippery. Controlling the speed of brushing took a second to get used to again. lol Eating is so much easier again. Although I keep subconsciously checking my teeth with my tongue for food particles. HAHA Life is great and I get so many compliments. The whole procces flew by, so good luck to everyone's journey!
