Hope all is well on the homefront, with your daughter and looking for work.

hi everyone, sorry for the loooonnnng abscence lol family life has a tendency to take over here   hope everyone had a great xmas and new years!!
all positive news here treatment-wise. i am sooo happy with how treatment is going, my ortho is quite amazing i can see why he teaches overseas etc- he has the oddest ''bed-side'' manner but i can forgive that since his treatment to date has been great :)

here is a update photo (just a quick one i took tonight on my phone! )

my lowers have been un-crowded for ages now :) been over 12mths now since i got them on, estimated time left 10mths! i sure hope they are off by this christmas  bite is still being corrected with DOUBLE bands each side currently  pain in the butt they are! next appt. in about 4-5weeks time i think they are putting powerchains on and no bands i think :)

recently- like 2 weeks ago i had another adjustment, was hoping to get my rubber bands off for good at this last appointment BUT he wasnt happy with my midline being all where it should be yet so got sentenced to another 6weeks of them :( double bands on each side still AND went up a strength, plus they attached power chains top and bottom for the first time to close up all the remaining little gaps from my extractions. Was in the worst pain I think yet during treatment, the first 3 days or so were very sore, but soon back to the usual nothing much hurting (so much better to deal with off and on pain) not the constant aching type :)

heres a progress of my natural smile now Image

and a bit more close-up of powerchains etc Image not the greatest pic with a forced huge smile  but can see better

Fingers crossed my next adjustment i wont need this damn elastics anymore!

Hey Belistic! Your teeth are looking great! I'm so jealous! I wish I was as far along in treatment as you! Do you know how much longer you have to go? Did you take any before and current profile shots? I'm so excited to see how mine will change with these extractions! I know it'll be for the better! I hated the lip strain and protrusive profile I had before! I always looked mad or something! LOL! :D
congrats on the excellent progress you've made!!

hi there :) It will be 24mths in about October I believe, they said I should definately be done before xmas so to me that will be just the most awesome xmas present ever :) and a great NYE celebration if that happen
I dont think i have taken a side profile since i began but my ortho did in my original paperwork lol so once i find that and get a new pic i will try and add it on. Overall it has definately changed my face a bit for the better, less elongating somehow. but its all very minor changes i think but all positive.

I got told at my last appointment that i will be starting a new system called sure smile which means at my next appointment they will take more images of my teeth now in 3d, the ortho then adjusts on computer exactly where he wants my teeth to end up,they then send this off to somewhere where robots bend the wire into the exact shape it needs to be. So the result in this last 6mths of my treatment on all the ''fiddly bits'' as my ortho says will be easier, more exact and get better end results. Bonus is because he is just starting the program (but has extensive orthodontic experience) i get it for free :) :) so I save myself about $1200 Australian i think it was. :jump: He said its a definate win win for me so that will be about 12weeks time

I got my SureSmile wires a couple of months ago. No way could they make those finishing changes by hand. Pretty amazing technology. Didn't cost me any more either. Your teeth will look amazing when you're done!

It is pretty cool :) but my god i found after that adjustment the worst after pain I have had yet along the way. Have experienced major sensitivity in 1-2 teeth on one side of my mouth, was about to go in and see my ortho even though we both felt it was just due to movement, and sure enough its nowhere near as bad now and the bottom teeth have shifted some more to i think ease the pressure of a couple pushing on each other

really hoping i dont have too much longer to go, finding it hard to keep up with the rubber bands with my 2 little girls keeping me busy etc, and feeling like i am being rather slack with them :? even though i know i should be behaving myself with wearing them LOL its just hard.

Not much else happening :)
