They look really good peppy. Your braces are so white!! Mine have gone quite yellow from all the coffee and red wine. I got the new Colgate Max white one toothpaste and I'm finding it great for lifting the stains off them. It's the one in the red tube. Really looking forward to letting the hygienist have a go at my teeth.

How long do you have left?

Hi Paula! I'm really pleased with the progress! To be honest, the staining for me has improved as I've learned what I can and can't eat. They were really yellow today when I had my bands changed because I ate some golden veg rice at the weekend (which I think has tumeric in it). Before that, they were ok!

I believe my debanding date will be 11th September. So that's just 2 months away! I'm thrilled as it will be the week before I open in a new play at my theatre. It's also a month before I go away travelling. :-)

I'll upload some photos when I get chance. Although, not much has changed noticeably from last month. It's all small tweaks now!

Here are the long overdue pictures from my July adjustment. Day 1 and month 5 shown here! In the last 3 weeks I've had some movement of the front two teeth and the mid line is now straightened out. Hopefully you'll see this in the next set of pictures.

My next adjustment is next Wednesday and I'm hoping it will be my last before debracing!

De-bracing is booked in for 4th September! 3 weeks from today! :D I had a powerchain put on this morning to close a gap in my lowers, which is the final tweak.

I've opted to have a fixed retainer rather than a removeable one. I did say I wanted both but was told that it would make no difference either way and taking the removeable one out all the time might damage the fixed one.

I was recommended the bonded option - at least I won't have to worry about losing it!

I think I might just wait for my de-brace to post photos now - SO EXCITED!

Wow amazing results in such a short time frame! I have a similar issue with my left lateral incisor and your progress with 6MS is really encouraging! I'm only 6 days into my treatment and I'm pretty sure the time will fly by once I get used to having the braces in.

Welcome! You'll find it frustrating to begin with because you will keep looking at your teeth and willing them to move! I didn't see REAL movement until the 2-3 month mark... so be patient! Mine moved really fast after 3 months!

I have a big audition on the same day as my de-brace, so I may have to postpone having them off by a week!

Noted, I've stopped looking at my teeth as much now, hopefully I'll see some progress in a couple of months from now. Good luck with your audition! :)

My new de-brace date is 20th September (was 4th September), thanks to a clash with an audition and my gap in my lowers not being completely closed.

A bit diappointed but I'd rather they be as good as they can be! I've been to have the bands changed this morning so they are as pretty as they can be for my audition!

So that means my 6 month smiles will have been on for 7 months and a week when they come off! :-D

This thread was so useful! I'm on day 4 of my 6 month smiles and have been getting frustrated and a bit down because I have been unable to eat/sleep/talk because of the pain. But reading this shows me there's light at the end of the tunnel! I can't wait until I start to see results!

I've been ashamed of my teeth all my life, trying to smile with my mouth closed and not let people see me from the side. It will literally change my life if I like my smile :)

Thanks again, I hope you loved the result
Ally

Hi,
I realise this is a pretty old thread but just wanted to say how much I've loved reading your story about 6 month smile braces. I'm only on day 3.... Surviving on liquids & soup... And those bite blocker things?? Had no idea they would annoy me so much... Can't wait to see how yours turned out!
