Re: Bracey Stacey!
Another adjustment today, I haven't noticed much movement, but my gaps must be closing.
I'm also still in my elastics, just with added sidewinder springs now! Hopefully, my gaps will close a lot quicker now that these are on.
Hope everyone is doing well

Im wondering how your progress is going. I had a similar situation but i had 2 blocked out incisors on top one on the bottom. But now huge changes. I'm so happy I got braces one of the best decisions in life. Yoyr smile is going to be absolutely beautiful. I love seeing the progress and your incisor should be close to getting a bracket put on it. Hope you have a good day

Attached is a little progress shot from today...still no comment from the ortho on how long I have left. Still lots to do on my lower arch...

Re: Bracey Stacey!
Your progress looks great Stacey! Do you still have a gap on the lower arch? Maybe the ortho will put you in power chains?
I had fun reading the Tip Edge website. It's interesting to read about how different systems work. I think my orthodontist is going to give me Damon braces.

Fantastic progress Stacey! I have one tooth that is in behind the others.. I love seeing progress pics from others where it moves forward to join up with the rest of the teeth. Right now I have a coil spring that is trying to push the two one either side apart to make some room... Can't wait for the day it lines up nicely.
Re: Bracey Stacey!
How long did it take before they engaged the hiding tooth? Once they did, how long did it take to line up? I've heard it can move forward pretty quick

Re: Bracey Stacey!
hey all!
It took a good while until they decided to engage my blocked out incisor, as they were waiting until there was definitely enough room to pull it forward. Once it was engaged and attached to my arch wire it moved forward seriously quickly. So don't worry about that too much!
I'm actually a little bit down today...i've just got back from another adjustment and my bottom arch havent moved as much as he would have liked them too. No powerchains yet, just more side winder springs and an e-link elastic to try and shift my midline around a bit more to match my upper arch. He didn't adjust my top arch at all, infact he didnt touch it at all. Which makes me hopefull that the top arch is totally done, or very very close.
The main thing that is getting me down though, is that for now, I am back in elastics, from my top to the bottom. I now have bright yellow elastics in my mouth (sadly on the NHS you dont get to choose the colour). Apparently my top and bottom arch were a bit edge to edge and he wants to move my bottom arch back a bit, so that my bite is a little better.
I'm going on two holidays in the next two months and I can sense with these elastics on 24/7 that I won't be flashing my bracey grin very much
Hope everyone is well.

Re: Bracey Stacey!
So today...after 2 years of having no updates on my progress from my ortho (even when I asked him how long i had left) the words "we are coming to the end" finally left his lips.
I'M SO HAPPY!!!
All that is left to do on the top is even up my two front teeth slightly, and on my lower arch there's more going on (as it went on later) where he is closing the gaps and uprighting my front teeth. Then thats as far as we're going
Incidently my last remaining wisdom tooth is making an appearance, he's keeping an eye on it, just incase they need to arrange for me to have it removed.
I've attached a progress photo, excuse the varying colours, the lighting on the most recent pic wasn't the best!

Re: Bracey Stacey!
ARRGGGGHHH I'M SO EXCITED!!!!
So i've just got back from another adjustment (just closing the remaining gap on the bottom and trying to upright my bottom teeth a bit more) and my ortho has finally given me a date to be debraced! (Assuming all is well that is!)
I've got a final check on the 5th November, then on the 17th November I shall have my braces off early in the morning, then same day they will make and fit my retainers! I should be all done by midday!!!
HAPPY DAYS!
Just thought I would share my exciting news
