nicolie825, staceyraver - Yeah, it's nice to have an end date. When I heard 'a few more months' earlier this year, it was more, eh, I'll wait until I have an actual date of sorts before I get too excited!
staceyraver -- Yours are even closer to being off! Good luck in 10 days!

Re: DesertCat's Story
Minor update:
Went in today as space has been appearing between Mr. Narc and Mr. Not-So-Wonky (the two teeth that did all that movement). There's a bit more space than there was in the pics above from June, 2013. Can get a little interdental brush all the way between the teeth, gumline on out, with pretty much zip resistance.
He's going to let it do what it's going to do, then close the space with the retainer. I'll also be getting a root canal/crown on that tooth. I also asked if I would need to wait to get the root canal on Mr. Narc (ie, for things to stabilize a bit more), and sounds like that's not a problem. Ie, I could have it done now if I wanted, so question is...when do I do that? Already been kind of struggling with that, but definitely getting closer.
Close enough I need to try and get appointments, but in what order? Main things are, well, debrace date, which is still Dec 9th (so far), then give Mr. NARC a new name (couple of appointments there, I'm sure--the root canal, then would need to get the crown), and...a cleaning. And would like teeth whitened before get the crown, even though not sure it'd matter too much, but would like them just a little whiter, but that pushes the root canal off. I wish I'd been asked if I wanted to whiten before I got the fillings in my upper incisors, though, even though it's not like my teeth are 'unwhite', but they don't look as white as they are with how pale I am. *Sigh.* Thoughts on what order to do things?
Ortho did do a couple things in the super-short, five minute appointment of sorts: Untied the canine next to Mr. Narc and the lateral incisor next to him, and retied them. I think he was originally going to mess with the wire, but he ended up tying the lateral tighter--instead of just going around the bracket, the lig goes around one side, is twisted, then does the other side, so it's a little pseudo bowtie.
And...no more elastics during the day! Yay, got rid of them a bit over a week early. Only have to wear them at night, now. Things are 'there', so just need to keep it. So next week's appointment might be a little different.

Had last appointment before deband day today, and...
Still Dec 9th!
Do have to continued to wear the settling elastics at night (expected that, though). Beyond that, and looking at my bite, etc., only thing that was done was a wax impression of the lowers. Long glob pressed real good (even a bit ouch--it's not the most maleable stuff, not like the other impression material that just gets in every crack) into the back of the lowers. I'm guessing it's either for A) bonded retainer, B) hawley, or C) both. Thinking most likely A. Those front lowers both moved a lot...and moved quick, so I expect/hope I'll be getting a bonded lower retainer. Even if means more fun flossing times.

Wow it has been a long road trip for you and I bet you can't wait to be debraced. Love your blog and names for your teeth
