Hi Aviol - lovely to hear from you, how are things going with you and your journey?
Things are good here, although I understand now when people say there isn't much to report after the initial "wow" of having braces on!! It's now been 7 months and I've just had another adjustment - I've got elastics back, but only on one side running from the top canine to the bottom molar. I actually love the couple of days after as that's the only time I can feel something happening!! I did have a lot of rubbing from the lower brackets a few weeks ago - I had massive indentations in my cheeks that were so sore and dental wax just wasn't enough. I had seen on a lot of people's posts that they use Macks Pillow Soft Silicone ear plugs - well I can totally and thoroughly recommend them. I had a little trouble at first getting it to "stick", but I found out that if I held it on the brackets for about 10 seconds - they then stayed in place. I pulled off a chunk, rolled it into a sausage and stuck it along the lower brackets - my cheeks healed within a couple of days.

Can't believe it's been a year since I got my braces - and I didn't realise it's been so long since my last post! Things have been going along nicely, I've had extra hooks added to the arch-wire (as if there aren't enough on them already!) and have had different configurations of elastics and power chains. Unfortunately my orthodontist left the practice a couple of months ago and I have a temporary replacement until the new one starts in September. I'm trying not to stress about it and have been reassured that my treatment plan is in safe hands, but I do feel a bit in limbo.
Anyway, we are now working on lining up my mid-lines and I think it's going pretty well:
