Have fun camping!

I'm glad your elastics are going pretty smoothly. I hope mine go the same way.

Hi Denise

Just managed to catch up on your story. You're a month ahead of me in treatment. Your teeth are looking great. My daughter has elastics now and she has been very good about wearing them and received lots of praise from her ortho.

I will be getting elastics soon, and I may live to regret saying this, but I am looking forward to them as it means I am moving on in my treatment and I feel I am at a bit of a standstill at the moment.

Glad to see that you're doing so well. I think that having the right attitude really helps and you are obviously a person who will just get on with things and take the orthos advice.

Regards
Joney

Welcome back, Denise! Boy have you been on the move this summer!!!

Sounds like you guys had a good trip, and what a nice thing that someone thought you had your braces off... you know what that means? That your teeth are looking FAB! 8)

I, like the others am shocked you haven't swallowed any elastics... but I'm not suprised you've been throwing them away. My ortho asst told me to stick them on my pinky finger while eating so I wouldn't throw them away, but the little things were always too tight and cut off my circulation!

Your camping trip sounded fun!

I don't have elastics yet but I know that sponge feeling. I too catch myself doing it on purpose and keep reminding myself that it can't be a good thing to keep doing.

Hi Denise!

I haven't entirely caught up with the blogs of the more "senior" members of AW (not necessarily in age, mind you  ) but did want to stop by and say hello! What strikes me most about your latest pics is the symmetry of your arches and the shape of your teeth. Beautiful :!:

My daughter and her husband, and my new granddaughter, moved to the Savannah area earlier this summer, and really love it. So much history!

Things are looking great, Denise! It's good to hear the elastics are doing their job; if they are going to be a pain in the neck they might as well DO something, right???

Can't wait for the next update with pics! :)

Good to hear you've been wearing your elastics and your efforts are not going un-noticed!

You know, I went to a family reunion/wedding last August and I don't think most of the family there knew I had braces - not a single person said a word. I think people think it's rude to comment... or maybe they really didn't notice! Either way, have a great time and dance your butt off!!!

Hi Denise!

Great to hear about your latest appointment and that your ortho was so pleased with your elastics wear. Interesting to me, as elastics are in my future as well.
We're going to a wedding this weekend for long distance family members. 99% of them haven't seen me with braces yet and may not even know I have them. This should be interesting to see how many actually notice. 8)
Hope you enjoy yourself! My daughter, son-in-law and new granddaughter are in town for the weekend for a wedding; they've never seen my metal mouth yet either. Will be interesting to see the comments! Unfortunately we were supposed to see them today, but their flight was delayed because of the violent storms we had around here yesterday.

Keep up the great work!

Hooray, back to work again! Great that they were able to get you processed so quickly!

Sound slike you've really had a lot going on in the braces department, what a shame that band is loose. But, as Karen said, it's a sign of progress that you needed a wire clipped so soon - so that's great! Too bad the dentist was finding a lot of gunk... I know I learned for sure that there's no way to cut corners or ANYTHING - those darn dentists always seem to know... Hopefully once you step up your routine again it wil pay off and you will get nothing but praise the next time.

Glad to hear the wedding was fun, and that no one gave you a hard tme about your braces. It's a little nerve-wracking to think about that many people seeing you for the first time, but it's nice when it works out well! And it's really sweet your great Aunt was so interested!

Happy anniversary - hope you and hubby had a great time! Congrats on making it 15 years; that's wonderful! :-)o

Hey Denise!, Those last pics of your are simply amazing. What a difference just a few months can make eh! Glad the wedding went well and you joined the working world once again. Are the elastics still treating you well? My teeth seem to shift daily now with the double elastics and all. And HAPPY anniversary.Did you do anything special ?

Did you get your loose band fixed? They found I had one too last week and they are suppose to put on another at my next appmt.
I bet you looked fave in that black dress of yours.

Hey Denise, don't you just love it when you get lots of compliments on a bargain outfit. I bought a really cheap coat a few years back and I swear I've never had so many compliments on a coat as I did with that one.

Glad you're doing well, it would be fun if your family is in the paper.

Your teeth are looking really good.

Gracie is a beautiful doggie! Good to know that you got your band sorted but horrid that your elastics are bothering you.

I LOVE TARGET TOO!!!!!!!! I buy my work clothes from there because it's totally affordable and I only wear it to work, it's not like I need $50 dress shirts.
