£200 for the custom made trays and bleach
I think the crest white strips work well too though. Only reason I went to the dentist was because of the internal bleaching required on my root treated tooth

Hey BraceFace
Congrats! Your teeth look amazing! You must be over the moon. I think I need to look into that teeth whitening procedure you are using as the result is amazing. I was also planning to get my teeth whitened after the removal or braces but haven't gotten round to it yet.
Your story sounds similar to mine in some parts in that now that the braces is removed, there is still some work to do. Like you I have some composite bonding to do on my left front tooth. I also have a crown at the side which I plan to get replaced, plus the whitening and some gum contouring. I also have a couple silver fillings but they are at the back of my mouth and have not caused me any issues so will be leaving them as is. The composite bonding and gum contouring I have already made up my mind to do privately but the crown I intend to do with my nhs dentist.
I see your concerns about your retainers with regards to the work you plan to do. My ortho specifically gave me hawley retainers instead of essix for this reason and as he thought they will not need adjusting and be more compatible for what is left to do. Since I am only wearing the removable retainers at night, I wasn't bothered about which type I was given.
Pls keep me posted on the rest of your journey after braces.

Thanks Kelly .
Yeah, still lots to be done.. it now seems the braces was the easy part lol, now for the real pain with injections/drilling etc!!
Had my appointment today for my front teeth, so 3 injections, 1 root treatment & four filling replacements!! an hour in the chair.. but I survived and as soon as my mouth thaws out i'll see about some new pix .
