Hi Katie,

How are you. You're teeth look great! I'm so jealous that you've started elastics already, how has it been going?

Hey B!!!

I've missed you!

The elastics were horrible the first two days; now....they are old hat.
I can really FEEL a huge diff with my bite. I've been wearing them more then the doc first prescribed; I am hoping that it's helping.

My next adjust is Feb 24th, can't wait to see how much movement I will have after they reposition some of my brackets!

How have you been? What's new with your progress? Do you have any pics up?

off to read your thread.

Hi Katie,

It's so nice that the boards are back, I've missed my buddies! :-1

As far as my progress... I hit my one year bracaversary and I'm not sure when I'll be finished. At my adjustment on 12/15 I asked how much longer and it was at least another 3 months. My last adjustment was on 1/15 and did the usual bite open bite and my ortho made a face and was not happy with my bite (it also hasn't been worked on either). I've had issues with spaces and my lowers are finally staying closed and I had IPR done and things are looking good. I'm going in on Thursday b/c my clear powerchains are totally nasty. I don't know if my ortho is going to take a look or not but my next appt is on 2/12 and more IPR on the uppers. I'll take some new pics on Thursday after I get my chains changed.

Chat with you soon!

Ya never know B!

Those "emergency" appt.'s have ONLY worked in my favor in the past!
Since you are scheduled to have an appt. in a few days anyhow; I have a feeling he'll just take a peek while you are in there.

Let me know how it goes, & GOOD LUCK!

It's not really an emergency, when I checked out from my last appointment, the assistant asked me if I was going to been in for a chain change in 2 weeks. I told her yes, I have clear chains on top and they're totally gross after 2 weeks. My next appointment is in two weeks.

When you say bone remodeling do you mean re-shaping the teeth?
I know they will be doing that for me as well as some bonding at the end of my journey.
yep, just like you said, re-shaping of the teeth for a more symmetrical-smile :)

Can't wait!

Well, it's one year and one week since I've had these bad boys on!!!!
Happy brace-a-versary to me!!!
:-)o

I went today for my big appointment. they had to pull off 4 front brackets and reposition them, put brackets on my back bottom molars, also did IPR on the jabber tooth again, and new wires.....on the upside, no more rubber bands for awhile. The bracket removal was no where NEAR as uncomfy as I had anticipated! All in all it wasn't a bad appt. pain wise!

Here are some updated pics :)

Happy Braceaversary, Katie!! :D Your teeth are looking fabulous!!

I forgot we were braced so close together. Hitting the one year mark is exciting, huh? I never thought I'd get there but now that it's been a year, it seems like it flew by  .
Keep smilin'! :)

Thanks Girls!
Nope not that bad of a year AT ALL! Actually flew by :)
I am hoping the second half goes as quickly as the first too!

It's funny how fast the newly bracketed teeth have moved since Tuesday! And boy am I sore to chew with the new brackets on my molars
