B: Thank you! :D Yes, wouldn't that be nice to have a reduced sentence? Although it's probably too early to get excited....

Braced32: I know...I'm so blonde! What can I say? haha! Your uppers look terrific! How are they now?

Chrissy: Thanks very much! :D Oooo, hollywood smile...I like that!

Ok, today is almost 2 months for my lowers and I went for an adj. today so I'm going to post pics for that. Here goes:

Brace day:

1 month in:

Today:

My two new, repositioned brackets(central and canine):

And the front view(hopefully, my front teeth will straighten out now that one bracket has been repositioned:):

So, my appt. went well. First, she took both wires out and took off the two brackets to be replaced. That felt really weird, especially when she was scraping off the glue. I ran my tongue over one tooth and it felt huge!! Then I got to brush and floss. Ah, how nice to floss in a minute as apposed to 5. When I saw my "bare" teeth, they LOOKED huge. I can just imagine what it'll be like when the braces are gone... Then, back in the chair to have those 2 brackets replaced. I have a .014(?) wire which is one bigger then my starter wire. They still aren't attached to the very back as she said they'd probably slip out since they're still not very thick wires so next appt. they'll be attached. She said my lowers have made a lot of progress so that was exciting to hear. My molar build up is not as high as it originally was but it's still ok(I've got about a hairs width until one upper tooth will be hitting a lower bracket)so she left it with instructions to come in if it gets too low. My next appt. is not until August 13th...oh, the wait! And that's about it.

Have a great Thursday all!!

Edit: Added 1 month lower pic to see progression from month to month
Keep smilin'! :)

Looking good Jenny. Finally another adjustment! Your bottoms have made great progress in these two months and are alligning nicely

Maybe I didn't read well but why did they repositioned the brackets, you said the upper canine was touching the bottom tooth? What was preventing the uppers not to move?(I'm sorry..i think i have some ADD going on)

Hi Flaka,

Sorry, I don't think I explained it very well either(although I got a chuckle out of your last comment! ). They repositioned the front left one because my two front teeth were overlapping(they never used to) and the one on the left canine because it was so twisted on my brace day that they couldn't put it in the center of that tooth. They had to put it off to the side so now that it's rotated some, they put it in the middle to straighten it all the way. I did notice the canine on the other side is twisted too but not as bad so hopefully it'll straighten out now that I have everything else in the right spot and a stronger wire... *fingers crossed* !!

The repositioning of the brackets had nothing to do with my upper canine hitting my lower bracket when biting down, I just ran those sentences together...oops! My molar build up is worn down but it's still ok so I didn't have to have it built up anymore...yet. I'm hoping I won't have to and it won't be necessary if my teeth co-operate  .

Thanks for the compliments!! :D I'm really happy with the progress my lowers are making.
Keep smilin'! :)

Fantastic movement of the lower arch. The wire has really straighten out compared to your brace date. Here's to progress on the upper arch now that your brackets have been repositioned :-88

LaLaDee: Thanks! Yes, it has straightened out a lot. It's funny, I never notice HOW much my teeth are moving until I look at pics. Guess that's normal considering I look at them everyday!

braces4astw22: Like I said above, I think it's hard to see really how much your teeth are moving unless you compare pics....it's an eye opener! Yep, seeing those puppies "naked"(even just for a minute), I can see now where the name "chicklets" comes from :D . Thanks for the compliments!

Kara: Thank you! :D

Ken: Thanks for the cheers! I hope they obey and get in line, too! I love the smilies you use...where do you get them? Even when I find a smiley site, I don't know how to get them in my posts here  . I'm not very computer savvy. Did you catch the race last week? Not a good one for the 88...I'm crossing my fingers for tomorrow!
Keep smilin'! :)
