I got my Essix a week later but have bonded one anyway, it's a back up that I insist on using anyway!

Here are my pics with 4 weeks to go. Not perfect because of disparity between the sizes of my laterals. Also my midline is still off (albeit better than it was) but would have required full braces to correct. Overall very happy and can't wait until 22 July!

Looking good, Jem. I'm sure you'll be happy when they're off. I don't think anyone other than you will notice that little lateral - they'll just see that the teeth are lined up nicely.
1st Feb 2012 - extraction both upper 2nd premolars
Braced 9th March 2012 - lower metal fixed and upper removable plate
5th September 2012 - bite plate gone, upper ceramic fixed fitted
Estimated treatment time 18-24 months

I'm ok thanks, Jem. Bit of a slow phase but getting there. Have photos from last week which I'll try & post soon. Should be debraced by end of year - will you be sticking around to keep an eye on us?

Looking great Jem. Your arch looks fantastic very nice shape

I had to reschedule my debrace date because of a space in my teeth, I would have had them off by now if it wasn't for that but never mind. So we are both getting our braces off on the same day :HugeGrin:
Braces: Metal fixed upper and lower
Estimated treatment time: 18-24 months
Braces Removed: August 2013 (after 33 months in braces)
Retainers: Upper & lower essix and lower bonded

Jem, I haven't been on much lately and wondered if you were finished by now. It looks from the posting like you are on the final days! It's been a long time coming and that will make it even more of a celebration. :dance: :banana:

Hi Lilone

Without doubt he first thing I will eat is an apple without having to cut it up. Then, I guess, other things you can't bite into like corn on the cob and spare ribs. Otherwise, I have continued to eat pretty much everything I ate before, albeit with greater use of knife and fork. Chewing has not been much of a problem because I only have brackets on my upper front 8 teeth.
