I know what you mean about "bumping" teeth. I've done it about 20 times over the last 2 days and it feels like someone is taking a hammer and nail to my brain!!! I hope it gets better otherwise I'm never going to open my mouth again..NEVER!! And as much as I talk, I'm sure that will make many people happy :D , namely my family.

It does get better. It actually went away for a week or so as it was pretty much all of my teeth, now its just my front lowers, which have never touched anyway when I eat since I have an overbite. I know the first few days I was thinking why I did this lol. It wasn't because of pain really, was more of just a hassle of having to watch what I eat, and the constant digging out of food out of my braces. I swear I could feed a small child with what gets stuck in those things. :D But I'm at the point now where its just a part of life, like going to the bathroom. Not exactly the most fun thing, but its bearable.

What are you talking about??? Going to the bathroom is my most favorite time of the ENTIRE day.....5 minutes of pure aloneness. (is that a word?) :?: In fact..I'm pretty sure that's where my last child was conceived...lololololol...and probably...in 5 min!!!! Ok, Ok...I know..TMI.

I broke down and bought the FlexCare yesterday. Should be here Monday. Hopefully its as good as the hype!

I still can't believe I spent 140 bucks on a toothbrush  . Its not that I dont have it, but say that out loud. "I spent 140 bucks on a toothbrush". Sounds like an idiot.

Your teeth are going to look great after braces! And yes wax is your new best friend. I dont think your face shape will change all that much. You might might might see some changes in like the cheek bone area (i know I do.) however I dont think you will. I think mine is due to weight loss and just overall due to the braces.

Bedroom advise?! I certainly need this. I feel like I have a bear trap. I read somewhere that someone said and excuse the vulgar language "the best part about braces is that noone asks you for head". Well...I dont think the boyfriend is going to live 2 years without....ahem. So yeah! Any advise you can send my way will be appreciated.

So I used my Sonicare for the first time since I just got it in today. I like it. It is weird not having to manually scrub really. At first I was worried it wouldn't clean as well.... until I opened my mouth a few times and toothpaste sprayed out of my mouth like water from a fountain. My mirror thanks you too Phillips! 8)

Wait till you knock one of your teeth with it, WHILE it's going. :yikes: Ya, not fun. But, it's totally awesome other than that. That things got some serious vibrating power....hmmmm

Yep already did that. Quite a shock lol. I also turned it on with the cap still on. I think my dog and I both had a heart attack. And that thing vibrates more than my girlfriends..............nevermind haha.

Well I do have to say Im at the point where I will smile wide and don't feel the need to hide braces anymore. They pretty much feel normal now. Didn't think I'd ever say that. My first adjustment is next Friday. Round of Pain #2 1 week away.
