Jay- thanks for the kind remarks but I think you're being polite lol Smile
My teeth are un even & doubt they'll look amazing. Hope so though. I have a chip on the 1 & I hate it.
It will be interesting to see the lower 1's move into place.
Talking of lower teeth my extractions are giving me some right jip.
In a lot of pain & finding it hard to eat anything as everything catches the holes Sad
Hopefully they'll hurry up & heal x
You'd be amazed by what your ortho can do to your teeth. My cousin had really uneven and crooked teeth before she had her braces put on a few years ago. They were way more crowded than yours seem to be. You honestly wouldn't believe they are the same teeth looking at them now. I thought she had veneers or something as I hadn't seen her in a few years since she had her braces on. Seeing how amazing her teeth now look definately conviced me to get braced.
I have a small chip on one of my teeth too. It's not too noticable though. Maybe your ortho could file your tooth a bit to get rid of it if you really hate it?
I definately know what you're going through with your extractions. Mine hurt like hell for ages, plus I had spacers in at the same time to add to the pain. I think I actually forgot about the extaction pain due to the spacers so there was a plus side at least! I hated brushing my teeth after I had extractions...wow that hurt! I actually started using something called Anbesol near the extractions. It's for mouth ulcers but it numbs your gums. It was awesome! I think I went through an entire bottle. I have no clue if it's safe to use that much but who cares...I was happy at being pain free!

You actually have a really pretty shape and color to your teeth, not the worst here by far. Mine are more chipped/discolored etc. You are going to have an amazing smile at the end of your journey.
they wouldnt give me the exact sentence...18 months if i get out for good behavoiur, 24 if im not...
i am now awaiting the proper time to place one or two mini screws- TADs...they estimated june next year, but im pushing towards an early set in...april, may... i want to become a mom next year so i need to do this before..... since i need anaesthesia ...
I hope you're right. My smile will be a dam sight better than it is now that's for sure (especially now I have extraction gaps lol).
I don't like my tooth shape though so i'm not expecting much I have thought about getting veneers after on my front teeth (probs just the top) but I will wait to see what the end result is like as you say Jay they might look completey different.
I do want my chip filing down after but not sure if it it will be pracitcal as it's 2 small chips on the same tooth right on top of 1 another making it look quite big - guessing to even it down they'd have to file a fair bit off. I will ask though & if not maybe I could have something over it we'll see at the end of my treatment. I've got a long old wait yet until the end is in sight
Ionika - here's hoping to a shorter sentence
i'm hoping my treatment won't take the full 2 years either. I'm hoping to go travelling if I can but if the braces don't come off sooner I might not be able to go

I can't believe you thought your teeth were the worst here! Just goes to show how we can really start hating our teeth after a while. Especially if they stop us smiling.
Only in the last week I've been able to close my mouth without suffering muscle strain. So I think I'm ahead of you in the race for worst teeth.
Lu Lu....wait till i post my photos up! Damnnnnnn ugly.
Oh and i was eating a snickers bar yesterday at work and chipped my lower front tooth on a hazelnut shell! I couldnt believe it!!! I week before braces! Rang up the number on the back of the packet to sort it out.

Last weekend for me too apart from I'm just having my ceramic fitted. Good luck!
You must let me know how you get on with the lingual brace!!
I'm starting to think I've made a BIG mistake getting that. All I keep reading is mainly bad stuff. Scared about my speech. Think I'm more nervous about that than my ceramic & people will see my ceramic brace.

Well, those are definitely not the ugliest teeth here, but yes, you did the right decision by getting braces.
Why even worry that people notice the braces? I teach at a university and just once one student said: you have braces! and I said: yes. that was all.
if you hide your smile why even bother that your teeth "do not look so good in ceramic braces"

I don't actually hide my teeth but i'm always aware that they are on show & know they are ugly to look at which does bother me.
I still smile wide etc. just you don't see the true damage unless you peel my lips back & see how crooked & twisted they are.
Regards to speech unless you had linguals I'm guessing speech isn't affected or not much anyway, could be wrong though.
Linguals are the 1's that cause people to get a lisp (which is what I am getting)
