Wow! I thought the two weeks was impressive, but 4 weeks is even better! Amazing. They have really straightened out a lot! Great progress, braceface! Are you happy with how it's going?

Thanks for the update. Look forward to further updates!

Hi Guys, yep i'm delighted with the speed at which they have straightened out. I was there on monday and she put a bigger wire on the top teeth so thats me now for the next 8wks. Getting the wire change was a little uncomfortable, the front teeth are tender when pressed but apart from that I haven't suffered any pain with them at all! although I can't actually bite into anything with the front teeth that's not really a problem. The bottom braces did rub against my cheeks a little but nothing unbareable (sp?) and no need for any pain killers or wax so couldn'tve been that bad.

The only thing that continues to bother me is the discolouration of the teeth, as they have straightened out it is becoming more obvious to me (takes me an age of getting the right lighting to get the photos done for here) particularly the staining between the two front teeth. I had been goingg to ask if there was anything temporary that could be done to improve the appearance at my last appt but i never.. Perhaps as they become more straight i'll be less concerned so i'll wait and see just now.

Thanks for reading and your comments, it's good to hear that others can see the difference too :D

Hi BF74,

You have made fantastic progress already; I am quite jealous!

I had my first adjustment a week ago and now have a much thicker wire (0.018?) so after little movement to date, I hope to see some progress before my next adjustment on April 2.

Jem
Sectional brace with Damon clear brackets fitted to front 6 upper teeth 3 January 2012
Brackets added to premolars 2 April 2012

Now enjoying bonded upper retainer plus part time essix/hawley( I have both)

I'm so excited to have read your story! What awesome change 4 weeks have made! I am preparing my camera for action on Wednesday, February 29th - the day I get my braces. I'll be able to start my story and hope to share my experience, too!

A little update, can't believe i'm into month 2 already!
I wonder if i will really need these on for another 16months!! I'm hoping the ortho has just given me the worst case scenario with that!

I hope so Kelly, can't wait to get the colour of them all sorted.. it's not so obvious in the pics but is to me in real life.
