Ok, I survived my extraction! :jump: So far things are going ok. Just chowing down on applesauce, pudding and ice cream. Can't wait until tomorrow, I'm thinking hotcakes and scrambled eggs at Bob Evans.

WooHoo! Just passed my 3 months for my uppers and 3 weeks for the lowers. I think I already see movement on my lowers. Maybe it's just wishful thinking. Anyway, I really didnt have much pain after having the tooth pulled. What a pleasant surprise. I think I only took a couple of pain pills. Now that I have my upper tooth pulled, I go back next Tuesday to have the full wire put back on the top. Got to get the gaping hole filled. :D

Back to the ortho I went for my 3week follow up. He put on a chain to start closing the gap where the tooth was. I can defiantly feel it, which is good in the long run. He didn't do anything with the bottoms and I don't know why, but that's why I trust him. LOL! They tried to schedule my November appt the week of Thanksgiving. I said no way, not missing out on all the GREAT food! LOL!

Yeah! Just passed my 4 month for the uppers and almost 2 months for the bottoms. Things are going good I think. Time does fly sometimes, and sometimes if feels like i have always had braces and it will never end. i would like to see more movement but I know it will take time. I go back tomorrow for my 3 week. I feel like I spend more time there than I do at home. LOL.
Hope all is well with everyone who reads this post! :-1

I know it's been awhile since I posted anything, but things have been going very well, until today. I went for my 6 month checkup a little early because of the holidays. He changed both wires and moved my power chain over all of my front teeth to close the gap after I had my bicuspids pulled. This is the most pain I have been in yet. Tried to eat noodles for dinner and that hurt. Maybe pancakes or scrambled eggs in the morning? Guess I'll become a big fan of Advil and wax for a few days. It even hurts if I try to rinse my mouth out. I know WAH WAH, LOL! I have an appointment with my regular dentist for a cleaning on Thursday, well maybe not. I don't know if I can take that or not.

But with all of that, my ortho said I'm doing GREAT and I can tell a big difference in how much my teeth have moved in such a short time. I will try to post some pics. Going to just lower my head and get though this and count down the months. Only 16-18 more to go!

Hope all who read this have a GREAT HOLIDAY season! :D

I know exactly how you feel about the power chains. I got mine for the first time last week and it felt like the first day I got braces. I had a lunch date afterwards with some friends and that didn't go very well because I could not eat a thing. My pain lasted about 5 days. It hurt to floss so I feel your pain now. My pain was so bad that regular ibuprofen didn't help me. I actually had some prescription pain pills left from a car accident I was involved in back in Oct and had to take one of those. I hope you feel better soon!!! :flowerbloom:
