I have heard the brighter colors make your teeth look whiter but hadnt seen them side by side for comparison. So thanks ;)
Your progress is looking good!
I don't know about that, I have had some terrible staining which I'm hoping to try and fix some how xD I might go bad to the purple ligs to compare :P

Just had an adjustment this morning, and my wires have been changed out for stronger ones. The pain is really kicking in on my lower teeth and the uppers are comfortable thus far. None of my other adjustments have caused me much bother but I feel like I'm going to be on soup for the next day or so!

I had another adjustment yesterday. I was just expecting the standard changing out of ligatures, but it turned out that I was having my first IPR session! It was so uncomfortable, and I bled a little, but it was bearable in the end. My ortho did it very quickly so I was really happy with that. I now have powerchains on the top and bottom as well, and I am, yet again, in a considerable amount of pain. I am dealing with it the best I can. I can't believe I've been braced for nearly 8 months!

I do have another progress pic for you guys. I started using whitening toothpaste (I know you're not really supposed to!) because it was clear to see that staining was become an issue. I am a student, and one of my go-to dinners is curry because it's so easy to make and obviously it is notorious for staining!

Also since my last update, unfortunately the premolar next to my crown got infected and it also being crowned. My dentist was astonished as the cavity has started from the side of my tooth next to the crown, so looking at it normally she had no idea that I was going to need a root filling. Scary! I was very upset about it at the time because after me dentist had told me to get the bracket off that tooth at my next ortho appointment because root fillings make a tooth weaker, and the ortho assistant actually broke my tooth... It wasn't too much of an issue as it was getting crowned anyway, but it has certainly made me feel very nervous about going back.

Anyway, I'm very pleased with the progress of my bottom teeth, and I'm hoping that with my bottom teeth progressing so much faster than my top teeth, that I will be able to have their brace removed first. I'd be happy being a half brace-face!

Thanks :P I'm using Colgate Advanced White. I really like it! It's not too harsh and I can really tell the difference :)

Hope you get good results too! Staining was the last thing I was thinking about getting braces. It's such a pain!

Roses, wow, you've gotten such great results!!!

Sorry to hear about the root canal and crown, I am pretty worried about that myself as I have a couple teeth with large fillings. I am REALLY sorry to hear they broke your tooth!!! That is like my worst fear! I have a few teeth that have composite bonding on the outside which my dentist said can break when they remove brackets, so now I have this paranoia of fractured teeth. :?

I hope everything goes smoothly with the crown and the rest of your treatment :)

Thank you! The crown is now in place and all I can do is wait and see what the ortho decides to do at my next adjustment in July. I will not lie though it has made me really scared to go back! I'm sure after the next visit though I'll be over that :)
