jamie315: Hello and Thank You for your nice compliments!!! And you're right; it is a surreal feeling to see what my teeth used to look like and compare that to now. Wow. I have an adjustment this Tuesday so hopefully they will let me know if/when my braces will be removed... hopefully then!!! hahahaha! :D

METALMOUTHPOOH: Welcome and Thank You as well for your kind words! But there really is no need to be jealous; the whiteness is all done with photoshop... my teeth are normal, human color hahaha... Read the details on pg. 12 if you're interested.

Wish me luck, and thanks for your positive thoughts!

March 4th Update

#169 Post by victor36 »

Hi everybody!

So I had an adjustment on Tuesday which was rather un-eventful (except for the part about my credit card payment getting declined due to my empty bank account... but I won't bore you with those details), Dr. S. didn't like the slow progress of the Class III elastic on the right side so he opted to change form the 1/4" down the 3/8" size. The archwires were not changed; all, in all, it was quite a "boring" adjustment. I was in and out in 10 minutes. I have no idea if the braces will be taken off early as was predicted last time; Let's hope that the 3/8" elastic does its job!!! Oh, and I got pearl white power chains again.

Till next time; stay positive!

Hi Victor, I know what you mean about boring appointments, it feels like moving forward more when there is a major adjustment. Let's hope that elastic size change does the job, and yes, stay positive, we're getting there and you have done so at super speed.

Hello, Joney!

Joney: Hello, and thank you for your (continuous) encouragement... I am getting just the teeny-tiniest anxious to get these things off of my teeth... but I will be okay... Everything always works out in the end!!!

P.S. Wearing the 3/8" Class III is making a noticeable difference. I can feel that whole side of my jaw moving... it feels very active!

Until Next Time,

~Victor

Hi Everybody!!!

#174 Post by victor36 »

Hi everybody!

It's been almost 2 months (!) since I've posted, just wanted to let you guys know that I'm going in for another adjustment tomorrow. Hopefully this will be the de-bonding appointment 'cuz in my opinion, my teeth are about as straight as they're gonna get. So please send good thoughts for me; hopefully these braces will be removed tomorrow.

Until next time!

May 8 Update

#176 Post by victor36 »

Hi, bracedagain and browneyedgirl thanks for visiting.

I got GREAT news today!!! Braces come off July 1st!!! WOO_HOO!!!

Dr. S. was very impressed with my progress so he did a little smoothing here, a little IPR there... and I get the "Silver Power Chain". Apparently that signals to the Assistants that my braces come off next appointment. I originally asked the Assistant for any other color than white for the Power Chain because they stain, what with my affinity for curry, coffee and nicotine... He said that they'd go with whatever color I'd want, unless Dr. S. says that braces are coming off next appointment, in which case I'd get silver. Hmm. Interesting. Oh P.S. i'll still be in elastics, till the very end. Elastics are my friend, had them since day one.

Well, would you like to see my pictures that I took today?

just a little more alignment on the bottom centrals and i'm done!

And nooooo my teeth are not really this freakishly white. See p. 12 for details.

Till next time (then I get to start posting in "The Naked Tooth"),

Wow Victor, I'm delighted for you and also a little bit jealous. You can have your own little 'independence' day before 4th July. Your teeth look so good and going to look great when your brace is off. Well done you and well done to your ortho who has done a fantastic job in that timescale.

joney: As always, thank you for your kind support :D I'm looking forward to celebrating both Independence Days that week!!! ;-)

jamie315: I am indeed happy that my braces are being removed earlier than anticipated. Thank you for posting, and be sure to come back after "Naked Day"

*melissa*: Hello, thank you for visiting, and welcome to my thread! I don't think there's any product or procedure out there that will get my teeth this white, but wouldn't that be great? :D

Here is another view of my upper arch (perhaps my favorite pic of the bunch), made possible because i just discovered that using a small round mirror gives a better view of the arch. If only I had discovered this 15 months earlier :(

Please ignore the water droplet and the fog on the mirror:
