My appointment lasted 2 hours exactly as they said...The braces came off in less than 2 minutes so I was happy about that part! The front upper and lower debonding was really painful actually and my teeth were numb for about 10 minutes afterwards but the feeling came back and I feel great now.

I got lower and upper bonded retainers and they are actually not really noticeable...they use the flat chain style retainers and did a good job getting the glue to a minimum level. The assistant had to do the upper one twice because the first time she used an elastic in between my teeth to hold it in place and the elastic created a space between my front uppers after the glue had cured---I was not going to let that slide and sport a gap in my front teeth, the ortho tried to justify it but I wasn't budging, I won. lol.

Got impressions done for an essix retainer with the regular putty goop and also had the intraoral scan, and 2 x-rays for records. Will be going back March 12 to pick up my essix retainer.

My teeth feel so smooth and it's so easy to close my lips!

Time for a braces free meal!!! LATER!!!! CHOMP CHOMP CHOMP oh what? Nothing got stuck!

Bonded Rapid Palatal Expander: 10/1/13 - 3/31/14
Upper and Lower Metal Braces: 4/22/14 - 7/14/15
Total treatment time: 21 months

Thanks so much!! They look so much better with the braces off!!

I'm glad they are off yes but what a mind trying saga braces can be lol!..and I just finished eating food...I had a grape first (that was my first food I ate when I got braces so I thought I'd celebrate with a post braces grape.)
