amazing progress girl! you will go faster. Do everything they tell you. I had a 18 month sentence, and I seem to be ahead (or so that is what my ortho forecasts).
Keep up the good job!!

thanks joy, to be honest there hasn't been much change since the last photos, in fact i'd say the top have gone a bit more squint again! I was at the ortho today, she changed my bottom wire but the top is still the same. She says she will bracket my last back teeth at my nextt appt! I'm a bit disappointed that she didn't change the top wire as i feel at the moment nothing is happening with them. I'm sure she knows what she is doing mind you... just in such a rush to get them fixed

thanks kelly, i have my next adjustment on monday which always gets me looking more carefully at my teeth wondering how much longer i'm gonna be in these things lol. She knows i wanted them done within the year lol but she never commits to when they'll come off although i reckon sooner than the initial 18month sentence :)

You are a true inspiration, my bottom teeth were more twisted when I got my braces 2 weeks ago, I just ran across your

pictures and can see the difference really takes months not weeks. This observation from a person who has had his teeth

drifting into mis-alignment for decades. I for one am glad they don't move that fast, not that I like all of this hardware in my mouth,

but I am in my 60's and I never want to do this again. You will have a beautiful smile when you are done, even if it takes an

extra day or two.

you definitely wont need 18 mos! suggest you ask the ortho at your adjustment next week how much longer she thinks you have to go. i think alot of these ortho just give you a time frame to cover themselves. i was also told 18 mos and my lowers will be coming off next month at exactly 10 mos and 10 days. not sure how much longer i will have to go with the uppers but they went on 10 weeks after the lowers.

I don't think you'll have long to go in your uppers kelly, i was just looking at your first pics compared to now and the difference is amazing and so quick too. The gaps closed really quickly for you.. you never know maybe you could be brace free for xmas :).

I asked my ortho before but she was very non-commital lol, just asked me when i go back to work (January) and she said.. you never know!!

Thanks braceface. I am also surprised at how quickly mine improve.

In July my ortho did tell me that he thought we would complete the treatment by Jan/Feb (which would mean total treatment time is 12 - 13 mos instead of the initial 18 mos estimate). It was only at my last adjustment on 06 Oct that he mentioned that my lowers would be coming off on 17 Nov. I highly doubt that the uppers will be off before the end of the year. I can live with Jan/Feb though :)
