Ok so I'm officially annoyed. I didn't think that food that I couldn't eat would really bother me, and really it doesn't. But I'm a serious ice chomper...LOL. I miss it. I can't even put it in my glass, because if even a little bit floats near my chompers I wanna chew.... and nope can't do it (teeth don't meet up enough) nope can't do it (its seriously on the no no list)
sigh....guess I'm going to have to find some soft popcicles or something I can chew on

Haha I feel your pain! I'm an ice chomper too! I miss it. I've been freezing juiceboxes and just been eating them. It seems to suffice, for the most part

So not much going on right now, not really sore, not really anything new. My lisp is getting better, I can almost talk normal now. I don't expect to be getting rid of the turbos anytime soon so I guess I should just get used to them. In fact most of the time I don't notice them anymore. I have had some movement in my bottom incisors because when I started only one of them touched my turbo, now both of them are, so either my top or bottoms have moved some.

Good news on my TMJ issues, I haven't had any jaw pain or headaches since I got braced Yay!!! that was the biggest issue when I decided to get braces that the pain I was having could possibly be helped. So far so good!

Am having a bit of an issue with intimacy...I'm afraid I'm gonna hurt my husband with this sharp little turbos, so that has been interesting for the last couple of weeks. Does anyone have any suggestions aside of really packing in the wax??? LOL I know that is a bit odd but hey we are all grown ups here

It will be two weeks tomorrow I might try to get some pictures taken and see if anyone can see any movement. I think I analyze my teeth too much, I may actually be missing movement that is taking place. Its hard not to stare at my teeth and wait for movement...LOL. Its worse than watching paint dry.

Definitely worse than waiting for paint to dry. Silly isn't it, we all know we're in for the long haul but it doesn't stop us really really wanting to see that first sign of something happening!

I'm being a bit cautious on the TMJ front. My ortho warned me that it's common for the TMJs to feel better early on, but then some of that is the soft diet and painkillers! Anyway, I'm glad that your pain is better. I think it's got to be some help that I can't clench my jaw.

I think it might be some of my relief as well. I am very aware of the pressure in my front teeth if I clench as well. So that may be what is helping. My ortho also warned me that tmj treatment wasn't an exact science an we might have to try several treatments before we find a long term fix. But in the meantime in just happy for the no headaches

So I'm curious if anyone has had retained baby teeth. I didn't have an adult tooth for my premolar on the bottom right. Now the ortho told me its healthy and that's great I can keep it but they don't have a bracket on it so it's just hanging out. My issue is that because my babymother is twice as wide as the adult tooth its causing some massive crowding. I just can't see how the ortho is going to make a whole tooths worth of room in my already crowded mouth.
I'm just hoping if that baby tooth needs to be pulled to make everything straight that they decide sooner rather than later.

I had two up til about a year ago. One broke off so I had that pulled and I still have one more hanging on. I always wanted it removed because it looks silly. Its right in the front. But my dentist wouldn't do it til I could get braces. If you take a look at my story thread you can see a picture of it. My ortho says there is a chance I could need an implant after my stint in braces is done. We are going to move all my teeth forward and depending on the space left in the back we will make a decision then.

Ok so I posted a long post earlier and guess what? it disappeared

oh well the just of it was I think this baby tooth is going to majorly complicate things and I'm going to ask the ortho if it would be better if it were just to go. I'm not overly attached to it and I have a small mouth to begin with so a little more room couldn't hurt.

My teeth are feeling really wiggly but I think that major movement is still pretty far away. I can tell things are tipping a little differently. I'm not feeling like my teeth are coming any closer together, but I have managed to learn how to mash up my food well enough. I just couldn't stand another mushy meal

So today is three weeks since being braced. One thing I haven't thought much about my teeth lately. Just trying to chew and such and much more comfortable with my lisp.

one thing that happened this week, was I had the stomach flu. For those of you who haven't had to puke with braces...try not to. Its so disgusting. I wont go into the gorey details but just know you don't want it to happen to you.

I will take some pictures but there really hasn't been much change. My teeth feel pretty tight like they are jammed so close together on the bottom that they can't move without someone popping out of line so who knows whats going on there.

I'm halfway to my next adjustment. Hopefully the next few weeks will be pretty uneventful. I have alot of stuff going on in my personal life to have to think to much about my teeth. After the 4th though I will be back to staring at my teeth moving 24-7 LOL!!

Sorry to hear about the sickness I think that's something we all dread! Hope you're over it now.

Luckily I'm all better now.... that was a vicious stomach bug.

I have had another bracket pop loose though....garhhhh!!!! this time I was just sitting there doing nothing and there was a little pop and then I felt less tension.....awesome. I have my adjustment in two weeks I'm going to try to hang in there and see if I can stand it until then. Otherwise I am taking off work for an appointment on wednesday so if I have time I may try to slip in there and get it fixed. It doesn't seem to be moving around much so the only time it moves is when i brush my teeth.... oh well.... my ortho is giong to start thinking im a problem patient....sigh!!

So we are at week four... I'm pretty sure my teeth arent moving any more until i have an adjustment of some sort. They have sort of jammed together on the bottom row and dont really have anyplace else to move. They are super wobbly and wiggly so I think as soon as they put a different wire on them or tighten it or whatever they do I think they will probably move pretty quickly. My front teeth have aligned more so that instead of only having one turbo touch my lower teeth both of them are now. Its a lot easier on my lower teeth I'll tell you that. I also think I can tell that my teeth are getting closer together. When I chew occasinally i can feel teeth scrape together so I know they are moving hopefully that is a good sign and maybe I will be done with these dang things.... (they are making my tongue so sore. I guess I press my tongue into them when i sleep...ouch)

I haven't seen much change from my upper teeth aside from some leveling from my incisors, so I'm waiting for my right lateral incisor to rotate into line. It has been extremly sore so maybe something is happening in there..

hope everyone else is doing well..... it has become summer here in oklahoma. It was 92 degrees yesterday. It doesn't usually get this hot until july..... i guess this means we have a hot summer coming up. I hope not...but I suspect it will happen. How has the weather been where you are? I'm always curious to hear about where people live.

School is beginning to wrap up, just came off spring break. I'm not a big fan of any of the classes I'm taking this semester but I'm doing pretty well regardless. I have three papers to write, and a couple tests and then I'm done for the semester. I'm only taking one class this summer and then I graduate. I'm planning on starting my grad program in the fall so I'm not really taking a break but thats all good. I usually like my classes and my grad classes will be fun.

Lastly we have been spending way too much time at the baseball field, having 4 boys playing baseball on three different teams wears a parent out...LOL. It seems like every night we have a game somewhere.... I got so sunburned this weekend watching the oldest boy pitch a double header.... the first game was awesome - we won, the second not so much...in fact we had our hineys handed to us...LOL oh well its all good fun.

as you can tell I haven't really had time to dwell on my teeth maybe this week I'll watch them a little more closely
