Ok, so now, pretty much all canine’s (apart from top left) are sore. They must be moving into the extraction gaps or at least attempting too!! OR the other teeth in the middle are pushing them away lol. it is A BIZZARE feeling, :?: and before I took a sip of my coffee and the bottom right one felt really weird. I also just brushed my teeth and brushed behind the top teeth and felt like i had pushed the teeth forward as the wire went tighter... it is the most weird feeling... like i have pushed the teeth out of there position for a brief second until my mouth gets used to the feeling.

Is this normal!? Lol. I am assuming so, but still a bit freaked out by it all, its only been 11 days! I am pretty sure its cos of the extraction gaps and if they weren’t there, i am guessing things wouldn’t be feeling so wobbly.

I am gonna have to take some pics and have a look at the first pics tonight to see if i can see what is going on! lol.

I might try to take them with my digital camera and see if they come out a bit clearer.

I also just went clothes shopping at lunch as I have an engagement party to go to on Saturday night and i want to get a new dress, lets just say, i have not lost any weight from these darn braces and i am annoyed LOL  :-=

I found a dress, wrong size though, so they called another store for me and they have the size i want so i will try it on Thursday night! I love the dress, hope it fits!

Anyway, enough random jargon for one day hahaha (i know you love it) LOL

ooOOO thanks for that! my ortho gave me a small "sensodyne" brand brush, it is not to bad and i like the small head on it, I have the ortho head for my electric toothbrush but yeh at the moment I cannot use it again as my bottom teeth, WOW something is happening there. my left canine (bottom) is really really sore and I now keep bumping it with the tooth above it and that never used to happen. I also think the left molar connected by the archwire to that canine (over the extraction gap) is moving as well. The ortho said that the bottom archwire may bow in a bit, i guess cos with my bottom teeth both molars and canine's are moving so they will get closer together between the extraction hole and cause the wire to bow. interesting! lol. he told me this was nothing to worry about so that is ok! so if it does happy, no freak out will occur lol

how is your escapee molar going? lol!?
Woo! Sounds like things really are moving! So weird when your bite changes and bits of teeth suddenly hit other bits of teeth that have never hit before (wonder how many more times I can say hit in this sentence? :P).

I never noticed my wire bowing....when my teeth move it just sticks out the back and straight into my cheek! I wonder if that's the difference between brackets and molar bands?

Escapee migrating molar is still migrating. Worse yet is I have that mini chain attached to it so on top of the usual pokey bits, the chain is a really hard plastic and something keeps spiking me. I'm having to wear wax from the time I get up til I go to bed because as soon as I don't I end up with a sore spot that just gets worse. Ugh, I am hating this month! I want to rewind to last month when everything felt fine!! I'll be begging my ortho to move that tooth in in the upcoming month, I don't know I can stand it staying there for much longer :yikes:

Hope everything's going well for you today!
LOL u make me laugh! I know, it is weird and I have decided that I dont like it. I am also talking with a bigger lisp (least i think so) as I cannot talk properly as I am hitting my teeth MOST THE TIME now and it is just plain annoying lol. :-+
(i just did it then.. NO JOKE.. argh!) :paperbag:

I know, i dont understand, maybe that is the difference, maybe the wire doesn’t come out the back of molar bands? I have no idea... I have no idea HOW the archwire actually stays in the molar band to be honest! I have read about people saying theirs has fallen out, so i am really careful when I brush around them. I would freak out if that happened to me lol.

Gosh you really are having a hard month this time around aren’t you. I really hope things start feeling better soon!! :flowerbloom: :-)o

Woo for a new dress!! (I can't remember the last time I bought new clothes that weren't gym gear.....I have like 6 pairs of joggers and just ordered 2 more-wanted 3 but the husband said 2 was enough :paperbag: ).

Yep, I know what you mean about pushing on your teeth with your tongue or toothbrush then the wire feels tight, kind of like your tooth isn't in the right spot anymore. Sometimes you can press on the front and they click back into the comfortable spot, other times not so much :? Sometimes when a tooth moves I feel like there's food stuck in it and no amount of flossing will get rid of the feeling until the tooth settles. Braces are SO much fun

I think with the teeth hitting we do it a lot anyway, just nobody notices. Then you get crazy sore teeth and you realize you gnash your teeth together eleventy billion times a day!

And lol, yes, it has been a rough month! Every time I think it can't get any worse something else happens :gavel:

ok that is good, i am glad it doesnt happen to just me then lol. your probably right about the whole hitting teeth business lol i guess we notice more cos it hurts! lol.

I think my bottom teeth are definiatly starting to move as i can now get floss between them all :) hooray! :jump:

I hope today at work goes fast, I am just not feeling in the mood today and just wanna head home!

Yay for flossing! I have teeth I can floss between I've never been able to before and then teeth that suddenly cannot get floss in there no matter what :?

Haha, I always used to only have 1 pair at a time. Then I discovered YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE COME HERE YOU SHOULD GO TO THE COTTAGE DOROTHY! OH SUGAR BARBARA STANWYCK Free's and now I'm an addict :paperbag: I have more shoes than clothes!

Fingers crossed for you work goes quickly! I'm hoping today passes quickly as well. I either slept wrong or did something at the gym yesterday and now my lower back is killing me  Hoping it feels better tomorrow! I really should just wrap myself in bubble wrap and be done with it....such a walking disaster!

I know, its awesome! lol. how funny we are excited about flossing haha.

oOoOOO i might have to look at this YOU SHOULDN'T HAVE COME HERE YOU SHOULD GO TO THE COTTAGE DOROTHY! OH SUGAR BARBARA STANWYCK Free’s! i won’t say that much cos it might come up as SPAM lol.

oh now OUCHIES!! I have a sore back and neck ALL THE TIME. I have bad posture... I was seeing an Osteo and a Myotherapist, but now i am getting my teeth done, i am scared to go see them as putting my head in the hole on the table might hurt rubbing my cheeks against the brackets lol. I might see if my myo can massage me sitting up somehow until i feel less worried about my brackets falling off.

I hope your back feels better soon poor thing! :frogbraces: :flowerbloom: never used that frog face before so thought i would to cheer you up LOL its funny.

HAHAHA, I've never noticed that frog face before! He's great!!

My back is still a bit thing-y but feeling much better than it did this morning. Pretty sure I just slept wrong (husband works out and is pretty tall so thanks to the new and stupid mattress I spend half the night trying not to roll into him. If I sleep on my back I end up all twisted). Supposed to be doing back at the gym tomorrow, thinking I might have to skip the deadlifting for another week though

I have pretty bad posture too. Every time I think about my posture I realize I'm all hunched over my desk, so very bad!

I've remembered something new to eat tonight. Found a box of brownie mix in the pantry from the husbands birthday that we didn't make so have brownies baking, ice cream in the freezer and cream in the fridge.

Nothing much new going on with my teeth, I think they are slowly moving, I can notice, but I don’t think more pics will reflect this so I am gonna post more pics when I get an adjustment as I am sure I will have more movement in the coming weeks.

Last night was the first time some of my family saw my braces. They said they looked great so that was good :) Tonight I am going to my boyfriends dad’s house for dinner, I told my boyfriend to tell him to cook something soft, so no idea what we are having but I hope I can eat it!!. I am sure I will be fine if I eat slowly.

Tomorrow night I am going out for dinner again, and then Saturday have an engagement party to go to where more people will see my braces for the first time. I am not so conscious around people who have already seen them now, but talking to people who haven’t seen them make me nervous and anxious, but I am sure I will be fine. :squareteeth:

Morning kids! 8)

Went to my boyfriend’s dads for dinner last night. Before dinner there was biscuits and cheese on the table to nibble on. I tried to break up a cracker (as i love crackers and i am missing them alot!) and tried to eat some but it was just to hard and pointy for my back teeth and was digging into extraction holes and thought ahhh no point eating this! Its not enjoyable! However, the main meal was a braces friendly chicken pasta bake, YUM! with garlic bread, i couldn’t eat the garlic bread it was too crunchy! Then he gave us dessert, which was a gaytime icecream on a stick and I refused as I wouldn’t be able to bite into it lol, I know I could of cut it up on a plate like some weirdo hhahaha but i didn’t feel like it anyway, plus it had nuts all over it and thought no no for the brackets. But all in all it was a nice night and good to catch up with everyone!

I also went and tried on the dress at the shop I had on hold and it fits! I am gonna look awesome! (still not really confident about the whole braces making me look awesome, but oh well! a few wines will help me get over that factor! Haha)

Also going out for dinner tonight with work colleagues, that should be nice :) I am finding cos I cannot eat on the front teeth, i dont really get anything stuck in the front braces at the moment, so its not to bad going out for dinner, at the moment! Hehe.

Have a good FRIDAY everyone! yay!
:-)o  :rawk: :jump: :singing: :smoken:

Hi everyone

Just an update!

Went to the engagement party on saturday night, felt incredibly self concious and specially once again, when friends of my boyfriend's family were saying hello to me and notice my braces and just stare.. it makes me really mad... anyway, I was having many wines lol and my boyfriend said to me "there is another brace face over there" and i automatically go "WHERE!?" and I saw her and she was my age, and i thought OH MY GOD i HAVE to talk to her. It was like, the awkwardness and self conciousness just went away, like the weight of the world fell off my shoulders, i know it sounds stupid but that is what it felt like. Anyway time past, and I got the courage (thank you wine!) to go and talk to her, I WISH I NEVER DID.

She was having EXTRACTIONS REVERSED! :yikes: :yikes: :yikes:

BUT she had had teeth extracted when she was 13, just a little kid, and she basically told me that they retracted her teeth to far and she got TMJ issues! and clenched and grinded her teeth, and she said she has had her braces on for 5 years so far to re open the gaps... Needless to say, this scared the crap out of me... I told her about my extractions and she said I should of got implants if they were baby teeth that had to come out (I am thinking, yeh... and do YOU want to pay for those!?) anyway she then said as long as I can control the amount they pull my teeth back I should be ok, but don't let them do anything that I don't want them to do. I left the party feeling flat, scared and worried... and wishing I never met her, let alone spoke to her.

anyway.. on another note. I think my left top arch is moving so much faster than my right side. is this normal? I can floss so much easier, and i can feel now a bracket rubbing up the top (the one with the elastic knob on it) and i couldnt feel that before where as the right side doesn't really feel any different.

I am not really in a good mood today, I really just want to crawl back in to bed and I am left with thinking what on earth have I done, and my whole face is going to change...   :-Z

Sigh....
