For Christ Sake .....give me some chalk and I'm sure together, we can get the right color, and......for a lot less. Crayola has umpteen many colors to choose from...I'm sure we can mix something up.
Guess you better be investing in some snow shoes.......
If God wanted me to have straight teeth, he would have made my parents rich..or so I was told....
Love the chalk idea jen!!! Luckily, I am not responsible to pay for the lab screw-ups regarding color. When it is finally correct, they get the $ for one/uno/une/eine/1 tooth and not a single incisor more!!!!!!!
2/2/09: metal braces T/B
8/20/10: braced removed (18mons, 18days), hawley retainers T/B
9/16/10: LR central incisor extracted (failed root canal)
2/23/11: implant/bone graft
9/15/11: implant crown placed, lower lingual bonding corrected
9/21/11: upper bonding on lateral gaps from upper arch forward advancement
10/17/11: new hawley retainers w/plastic tubing over the 'social six' wire, both T/B
Version 3 STILL wrong after getting it put in..version 2 removed with grinding/drilling/scraping/yanking/injectioninjectioninjection/etc. Dentist called after I got home to say, he thought it looked ok while I was in the chair, but when I stood up to leave, he noticed the colour being 'off'. He believes he can fix that, without removing it . Of course, that won't happen until Monday at the earliest . Right now, I'm ready to give up on it completely, go back to the essix with the fake tooth in it and call it done !!!

When version 3 was 'dry fit', it looked ok in the light of the office. In the light of day, it is definitely off by a couple shades. As far as the dentist not saying anything 'in the moment', no idea. Perhaps he figured I would decide to live with it...perhaps he had a stroke...perhaps he was struck dumb by sun flares...bottom line : he will fix it or remove it...either way, problem will get solved.

New impression taken, as well as new pics in natural light and office light. These go back to the lab so they can figure out what happens next. Could be a different medium for the tooth or a different style of tooth completely. Dentist is as upset with the lab and agrees that zero $ will exchange hands until this is solved.

Jen: I'm beginning to think you might be correct about V-Day finishing, as I have heard nada from Dr. Sun Flare. Bet your bottom and top dollar that I'll be calling his office bright and early Tues morning for a frikken update!!!

Dr. Sun Flare called and said he should have the mould and a laminate <the correct colour..Bwahahaha..yeah right sure > by Thurs or Fri. The mould will show how much of the fake tooth will need to be ground down, to place the laminate over it. Why do I sense that this thing will make it feel like it is sticking so far out of my mouth, than birds will try to perch on it?!? I've very little optimism left for the work of this particular lab, but hey..at least they aren't making buckets of cashola off this job...so the kernal of schadenfreude is still alive and well in my frozen, dark soul
