so, i was sitting here at home, watching "the voice" and thought, hey, my adjustment is in 2 DAYS! and i was thinking about how my teeth looked 1 month ago... and well, here is a pic, to be honest i am SO HAPPY to see the progress is such little time and i cannot even believe the top pic was my teeth, before any orthodontic work or extractions. I will keep you posted once my adjustment happens

but for now, here is a pic!

Wow, that's amazing progress, I bet you must be delighted. Let us know how you get on with your adjustment, any idea what they plan to do?

I am so happy

I am not sure what they are going to do at my first adjustment, but I am going to get some colour ligs, I am ready to get colour and see how they go! I am excited to see what they have in store for my first adjustment, not so sure I am looking forward to the pain lol but least it will be more progress

Great progress Rhibee!! Go for the color! I have so much fun with it! I figure it's pretty obvious that I have braces so I might as well make the best of it and have some fun! I'll take a better pic of my ligs and post it on my thread.

Here's to hoping that your adjustment goes as easy as mine did

- In and out- changed wire, added some wire ties, and hardly any discomfort. The discomfort I had only lasted a day and it was minimal.

i am gonna have fun with the colours and I am excited to get pink tomorrow lol

i hope it goes well, my teeth are not feeling as tender as they were so I hope it doesnt hurt! lol i will let you know how I go

I'm sure your adjustment will be fine

Mine was nothing horrendous. New wire from memory and some fresh ligs (lol I go in so often for things to be fixed I barely remember!)

Good luck with the diet! I went to Mum's for mothers day afternoon tea with my Grandma and brother (and my family) yesterday and Mum fed me some baked berry cheesecake with white chocolate top that was the size of my head (and then made me bring another piece home for today!). I'm thinking I might blow up the scales if I get on them any time soon!

FIRST ADJUSTMENT!

I got a new bottom wire but kept the same wire on top but was tightened. I can tell the bottom wire is bigger! Feeling it already! It hurt when he was changing the top ligs, just pressure wise, kinda felt like he was gonna pull my tooth out lol its funny how he knew which teeth would hurt as well! as when I made a "arghhh" noise lol he goes "yes i thought so!" Lol!

Also, GOT PINK LIGS! i see that he has "figure 8" some of the ligs. Does anyone know what this is for?

The assistant and my ortho were amazed at the movement and so happy

I am loving the pink and I will show you some pics. You can see the figure 8 ligs as well. I feel like I have a bit of plaque(?) on my teeth already and I just want to get rid of it lol. I might book in for a clean soon even though I am not due for about another 3 months!

all in all, the first adjustment wasn't so bad. I think next time I will go purple

Hi, great photo's. I think the figure of eight's are to secure the arch wire more tightly into some brackets. I have them on a few brackets, the ones where the arch wire does not naturally sit flat as the teeth are rotated.

oh ok, i am wondering why he didn't do that on one of my canine's cos he has on one but not the other and the other one is alot more rotated than the one he has done the figure 8 on lol

I am sure he knows what he is doing and i am feeling this new wire today, ouchie!!! but pain is gain lol

I LOVE THE RAINBOW! I am so doing that in my last week (which seems SO SO SO far away at the moment lol)

why haven't you tried colour ligs now? you could do pink like me! I think they are subtle and cute lol

I love that I am happy with my braces at the moment lol
