its just gone 2 months for me lol

I hope the curry was tasty though and you enjoyed it :)
Hahaha, NOPE! I only had 2 little bits because I didn't like it!!! #majorbracesfail#

2 months is awesome :) I remember hitting the 2 month mark. It seemed like everything settled down a bit for me then and I felt a little more used to them (as used to them as I'm ever going to feel anyway, I still have moments where I feel panicked and like i just want to rip them out of my mouth!)

Also I was excited, but I just read a thread now that reminded me that once I get them off I'm going to be stuck in retainers for like.....ever  I'm worried they're going to feel *worse* than the braces!

Yeah, 30 years is a long time. I'm really glad that she and I were able to connect via Skype. We're also friends on Facebook so you can look her up there if you want. Her name is Carla Beltramini and she is absolutely gorgeous!!! I am so envious because even at age 62 or so, she is still just so pretty. I never looked as good as she does.
I kind of get the willies when I think about that glow-in-the-dark stuff, you know? I think ugh, maybe that stuff causes cancer. But I know that's crazy. I just don't think I would ever put something like that in my mouth but I'm weird and I know it. I guess if you can't let yourself go and have fun with your braces, there's really not much hope for you :-( -- poor me, right?

Nah, I can't let myself go either. It's why I coughed up extra to have clear one's and why I keep getting smoke coloured ligs! I don't know if I'm boring or if it's because I have zero self esteem but, while it doesn't worry me to have people notice them, I don't really want them to be hot pink or midnight blue either. I don't care if people have fun with theirs and I always like it when my daughter does, I just see it differently on myself or something!

You shouldn't be so hard on yourself. I've no doubt you're just as lovely as she is! xx

I know what you mean. I think it's great that other people want to wear neon coloured ligs and things like that. It's just SO not my style. I'm actually quite conservative in most everything I do, so this doesn't surprise me much. That's the main reason I opted for my Damon self-ligating brackets so that I wouldn' have to deal with the whole "choosing colours" thing. Just didn't want to have to even think about it if you wnt to know the truth!

I am only choosing light colours for the moment  i THINK i will get lilac purple when I go in on Tuesday, BUT i really REALLy like the look of the Teal ones.. but then i think they might be to bright as I have the baby pink, alot of people say you cant really notice my braces that much (HOW i have no idea, seeing as they are all metal - maybe they are just saying that to be "nice"..)

either way, i will get to the Teal, who knows, i might surprise myself and just go for it on tuesday lol

I hope the lilac ones don't stain! no staining with the pink ones thank god, but then again, I havent eaten any curry - Tobilei mwhahahahahahaha! :P

Lol, I tend to be pretty conservative too.........that being said I own 4 pairs of super brightly coloured shoes and have more waiting for me at the post office this afternoon. Maybe I'm concerned my ligs won't match my gym shoes? :P

I think you don't notice them much because you just don't pay attention to other people's mouths. I tend to notice when people have them, but I don't care that they do and I never think they look awful on anyone. My eldest has had some bright colours and I've loved most of them. The hot pink one's were awesome. I prefer the look of colours with metal braces though.

I really love the teal colour. If I picked a colour I think that one would be it.

And lol, I discovered today that it's not just curry! It's pickles!! We got subway for lunch and I got pickles on mine. Went to clean up the braces afterwards and they were all nice and freshly coloured.....sigh..... :paperbag:

Enjoy your new shoes! You're definitely braver than me even in that department. I just wear plain old white Nikes. Ugh. When did I turn into such a boring person???

Well, try to enjoy them anyway. Sounds like you might be stuck with them.

Lol thank you. I am! He said he'd give me a discount next time but it's only a couple of dollars more than the postage so not worth it. I did manage to get a new frying pan sent to me though because it peeled when it shouldn't have

All good :) I keep missing stuff too because I have eleventybillion tabs open at once and keep forgetting that one of my tabs is logged in here so new posts doesn't refresh properly :paperbag: (I love the paperbag! I need one in real life!!) I have to wear mine full time my plan says for 18 months, then I'm supposed to get the permanent one but I dunno, I think maybe I'd rather just wear the removable one to bed? I had no idea I'd have so much anxiety about having stuff in my mouth but I really hate it and the thought of something stuck behind my teeth forever makes me feel...........weird and panicky!.
