I prefer taking them indoors in front of a mirror, so I can see the cameras LCD view of what I'm taking a photo of.
What a good idea! Never thought of that!

Hi Bracedagain

It is great being out in the country, although i am a city girl and its my partners business that brings us out into the sticks!!! We have 75 Acres here at our new farm, lived on a rented one for a while that was 350 acres.... so this place seems tiny!!! Still, got good walks for the dogs here, not that they need walks... as they go to work with my partner and are shattered by the time i see them!!! :)

No animals here, but there might be some later on.... just brought this farm, it was a diary farm so they have lots of work to do in converting the barns into offices/workshops etc. Lots of animals about here though, got some sheep up on the hill and some horses up the road.... Its a bit strange for me..... But im loving it. Have two quite big city centres near here too... so its not too isolated! Only 15mins to local Tesco's!

My parnters Dad has some houses in the good USA! He is based between the UK and Oklahoma... anywhere near you?

Maybe you guys can see something i cant... but feel nothing happening! Is this normal when being so new into braces?? Thought movement was quick for about the first 6 months... :?
Feel a bit down about it really...... Nevermind, life could be worse and im not going to let it get to me! :)

I think your teeth look like they have moved an incredible distance. I have found in my case that there was rapid movement then it seems like even with new archwires and now elastics the movement has slowed to a trickle. I look at my teeth and feel like the braces did their job and now lets take them off. But my ortho says sometimes the small adjustments now are the most important ones relative to proper bite and alignment.

Cheer up, your teeth are enroute to a beautiful destination.

Hi Ellie

I hope you are ok and you had a lovely Christmas and New Year.

Just got back from getting my teeth out so feeling a bit wierd at the mo.

You can see some change from your last last two piccies even though it may be small compared to your first leap of movement. You have just got to think that all the small bits of movement will add up over time. Just keep taking pics so that you can keep track of everything.

Wow i bet living on a farm is wonderful. I live in a fairly small town on the east coast which is nice. I used to live on the outskirts of town in a quiet village when i lived with my parents and that was lovely. Me and other half now have a house which is basically in the centre of town now. I love my house to bits i just wish i could pick it up and move it further out.

Not long now until you get your bottoms on, bet your excited? I hopefully get mine on next week. I cant wait

Speak to you again soon chick

Hannah x

Hi All

Can anyone give me any advise on the extraction sites and how they will closed?!!!! My teeth seem to be kinda straight now and i have no idea how these gaps will be filled?!! Bit worried :?

They will close, honestly! Glap closure usually takes place once your teeth are aligned and levelled (so in the right places horizontally and vertically). Then your ortho will probably put you into a rectangular wire which allows the teeth to move in the horizontal plane (kind of "along" the wire) but without tipping in unwanted directions as they can do with round wires. He will most likely use powerchains which will gradually pull your top front teeth back into the extraction gaps.

I'm impressed how quickly your top archwire has straightened up. Your teeth are looking loads better already.

Thanks Lisa for the reply. x

It just seems that i have lots of gum to fill and not many teeth to move that far! :?
I know on my bottom set the Ortho will be 'stripping' my teeth rather than removing any teeth. That sounds awlful... not looking forward to that!
