hey guys it's so odd how time passes you by. I haven't had a chance toupload pics because I do photography on the side and have so many pics to photoshop and what not and it soo time consuming. Another thing somehow I forget about my braces the only time i remember they are there is when i can't bite into something or in the mornings. I hate how when i wake up my mouth is dry and my gums get stuck to the brackets and i have to lick across my mouth or pull my lips away or when that ugly lower canine leave the imprint of the bracket on my gum :(

so i am certain that my front tooth has moved I just need yall's advice but i need to upload pics of course lol. i am hoping to do it today after Glee. two more weeks till my first adjustment :) i can;t wait becuase my lower wire at the end is poking me :( wax, comes to the rescue!

Alrighty, I am finally getting around to posting pics.
here are some pics for 1 month and 2 days on top braces and 2weeks and two days for lowers.

I am on the thinest wire so i am guessing that's why I haven't noticed a major change.

so that's that nothing major but enough to get me excited. I can't wait for my adjustment in two weeks and for a thicker wire. I need to ask about that lower tooth I don't know why the wire wasn't bracketed maybe they couldn't get to it yet or they for got :(

I wonder if my teeth can get whiter while wearing braces by brushing a lot ?

I have to ask, is it normal to have ugly nasty breath in the morning with braces. How can i explain it's not my normal morning breath its different and its yucky and its every morning. I brush my teeth a lot. sometime i will wake up at 10:30 nrush and then fall back asleep and wake up at noon and my mouth has that taste again. I just don't get it.

Mine isn't nasty but it is definitely different from before the braces were put on.

I've noticed it. Morning breath is kind of expected, but braces seem to make it that tiny bit worse. I blame my removable brace for making it worse on me. It's so weird as I'm obsessive about cleaning my teeth now. I swear I've got the cleanest teeth in like a 50mile radius! I attack my mouth with 3 different toothbrushes everytime I clean, a waterpick, plus mouthwash and floss and still weird morning breath? Life is cruel!

It's possible that something about the braces is causing you to breathe more through your mouth than normal, which definitely gives me stank breath (I know this from many years of allergy attacks!).

Hey cosmo,

I found out that my wire is a 0.014 diameter wire, I presume it's the NiTi heat activated wire. =)

And yes, I did get this weird taste in my mouth in the first week, but now I don't notice the weird taste anymore.
I do experience dryness, so I sip water throughout the night (which disrupts my sleep majorly) and I carry a bottle of water everywhere I go! The hydration helps to minimize abrasions from the brackets/wire too!
My teeth were sentenced on 7th May 2010 to be imprisoned for 2 years.

Just had to comment on the icky breath....for me...it's like I'm sucking on a rubber band. Wait, I guess I kinda am. And when my mouth gets real dry...my cheeks stick to my braces/ligs. I HATE IT!!! So I try to keep lots of water around.
I'm always amazed at how I'll brush and floss and rinse with mouthwash before bedtime...and yet still....wake up with the taste of....oh...hmmm....like a cat has pee peed in my mouth!!! :yuck:
