So today we left a tad bit early for we thought there was going to be storms. I literally got there at 6:55am and it was gorgeous out. Note to self: Weather people lie. So I sat in the parking lot and chilled. At around 8ish or so, my parents decided they wanted to smoke so I got away from them and sat on the curb by her office, and she walked by but I didn't know it was her. I was sooo zoned out I was completely exhausted. So my mom yells out once she went inside "you just realized you snubbed off your orthodontist?" as soon as she said that I ran inside and felt sooo horrible. So they took me in at 8:06am since the orthodontist was there early. Early as in technically on time because she's always half hour late which is why they always make 820 am appointments instead of 8am ones lol. So when I went to apologize to her about snubbing her office when she came over she said to me "OMG that was you sitting outside?" I'm thinking *awkward moment* So anywho she said I looked really pretty, and that I looked soo different she didn't even recognize that it was me. She asked what time I got there today and I said 6:55 she said HAH if I would have known that I would have had you come walk my dog." I wasn't sure if she was kidding or not but since she's hooking me up with my braces I said "Next time, you've got my cell number I'll come over and walk it." But she didn't say anything after that. So then I had a paper with questions on it:

Do you have any more wax?
~Yes
Do you have more Perio- Med
~Yes
Do you use Powerchains?
~Yes
How long from now do you estimate I'll get my braces off?
~a year from Sept 2012, 1.5 years the most from Sept 2012
Do you use permanent retainers?
~No because then people can't floss
Do you have to go back on wire sizes to get my upper 7s (back most teeth) down to the rest of my teeth?
~Yes
I keep getting charlie horses in my mouth, is that normal?
~Nope
When I start going to school are the appointments going to be closer together?
~Nope because of the wires.

So i picked out Black and Yellow for my colours and the lady did it. But when my orthodontist came over she made a comment about the colours and said "oooh black and white its like we're going to a ball?" So I made a remark saying "Wow! wait a minute you have black and white on there?" she said yes. I said awh man I said black and yellow." *pouty face* So she took out all the white ones and put on all yellow ones. So then when she was putting the wires on I said aloud (because I talk out loud all the time even when I don't mean to) "Awh man I forgot to floss, ah whatever." But she felt so bad about the colours she took out the wires so I could go floss and brush she was sooo nice. I got .018 on .025 on top and .014 on .025 on the bottom. I got promoted to super thick Zebra Elastics. So then I went and made my appointment with Kathy. Funny thing is I almost left without elastics so just as I got out of the car the assistant had chased me outside. So then as we drove away I realized I had taken their colour wheel on accident. I called them saying I was soooooo sorry they said it was ok to just bring it the next time I go. My pain in my mouth this time was sooooo horrible it is unbearable.

Ok so here's the deal. Like I've mentioned numerous times before I travel pretty far to my orthodontist. When I get my teeth cleaned I am told I need to get my wires take out so they can do a deep clean. So I figured hey why not get a dentist close to my ortho and she's best friends with them. So apparently going to the best dentist in the country and even the globe is a mistake I've made scheduling wise. So I called 2 months in advance to the dentist and that apparently wasn't enough time. All they had was weird times like mondays, (my orthodontist isn't in mondays that's paperwork day). So then I had to keep calling then and I finally found a day and time told them to hold it while I made a phone call to Kathy at my ortho's office (she's receptionist in case y'all were wondering). So we finally found a proper time:
July 19th, 2012:
Orthodontist - 1030 am Wires Taken out
Dentist - 11am Cleaning and exam
Orthodontist - 1200 noon Adjustment

So I called up my orthodontist's office complaining about how I am in horrid pain beyond imaginable in my teeth. I didn't know if it was normal to hurt so much I was about to pass out. So when I talked to her she said to call her on Friday if I was still experiencing pain. And that I should be taking tylenol or whatever she said for pain medicine. I did, it didn't work. Neither did the bite /therapy wafer. So she told I could call the office and make an appointment with Kathy, I did for June 14th at around 4pm

So today I went to that appointment about my pain. She said she doesn't understand why I am in so much mouth pain so I brought up my kidney disease thing and she said the pain from that might be presenting itself as an all over pain and she asked me if I wanted her to take an x-ray. I said I didn't want to waste too much of her time. So then they were freaking out about my swollen to the max beat red gums. Which is weird because I floss and use that special mouth rinse. So then the lady was trying to suggest going back on wire sizes and my orthodontist got really mad at her. So then she suggested taking off the colours (which helped) and to stop wearing my elastics for one week. So then she had the lady put on a new wire the same size but a new one to change around the stops/reactivate it. So then she cut then ends for me. I never realized how sharp brackets are without colours on them.

So today is the next day, June 15th, 2012 and I looked in the mirror and realized my braces are sharp the lady forgot to close the bracket door. So I pushed the wire down and closed it myself and then my wire started sticking out worse it was soooo bad I was literally bleeding every time I laughed or smiled, which wasn't a good thing because where I work they make us smile (but I smile either way forced or not) So I called up my orthodontist and told her and she was like "Oh call me when you get to my office and I'll meet you there and I can cut it for you myself this time." I said in a shocked voice "Not today!!!!!!!!! I got work in literally ten minutes and I'll be there till 9:30pm." She told oh ok but if I wanted to go on a non office day she would be more than happy to meet me at her office. So I texted her and made it for June 25th.

Ok, so today is July 19, 2012 and I had 3 appointments in 1 day back to back. I left my house at 7am. Got to my orthodontist at 9am to get my wires taken out for the cleaning, even though it was supposed to be at 10:10 am. Funny thing is I went to use the restroom in the building and they seen me and stopped me saying I could go in now. LOL So I did, even though I was iffy about that thinking that the wires being out that long would make my teeth shift. I got to the dentist at 9:30 and literally waited a whole 2 hours. My appointment was actually for 11am but they couldn’t see me then. So they called my orthodontist up and she was like “Oh, yeah, just make sure she’s here by 12:30, we’re going to lunch then.” And my ortho goes to lunch for like two hours so I had to make sure I got there by then or my dad would get mad. Some really awesome lady cleaned my teeth. We were talking like the whole time; I’m the master at talking at the dentist. I barely had enough money to get my teeth cleaned when I pulled out what little money I had to my name, the office manager said “No it’s fine, you’re all set, just get to your orthodontist before they all go to lunch on you.” So she hooked me up with a freebie, but I could kind of understand why, the dentist didn’t see me I just had my teeth cleaned by the hygienist. The cleanings where I go with exams are normally $113. I got to my orthodontist at 12:18pm which barely gave them time to do anything and that’s why I didn’t get any colours. I am really really really upset the assistant that I’m attached to that always works on me is leaving forever, going back to Brazil. I did however get my picture taken with her. Top wire stayed the same size but I had stops put in between both central incisors and the lateral and central incisors on in the right hand side. The bottom wire was changed to 016 on something that I couldn’t recall, even an hour after the appointment LOL But I know it is one of the rectangle wires. Got new elastics:
Right Side: Top 1st pre molar to Bottom 1st molar Top Canine to Bottom 2nd Pre Molar
Left Side: Top Canine to Bottom 2nd Pre Molar
Made the next appointment with the receptionist August 21st at 8:20am. Left and went home.

Got there at 7:11am and seen them all walk in. Including the new lady. I walk in early all the time and always get seen early and my ortho asked how my kidney surgery went told her I was getting more tomorrow. The ortho came and got me again weird because usually the assistants do. Sat down in the new chair and she saw my nice Nikon Coolpix L810 and thought it was awesome. She checked my teeth and loved them how they were going with the treatment. She introduced me to the new lady, not sure if it was a new lady, not sure if she’s permanent. She took over and she let me floss. 016 on 125 and last time’s one for the bottom. One of the other assistants: The picture taking one loved my braids. LOL at the new lady failing and she slipped and hurt me trying to open the bracket doors and I was trying soooo hard not to cry, She didn’t even take out the wire full she just pulled it out slightly and did everything under it. She let me pick red and white and put the wire back in before I could floss. My ortho tried to guess I got my braces on for a year when I said guess what I said no I’m 21 and she asked if I got the birthday email and said no she said oh, well ….. Happy birthday. I asked about the chip in my tooth, on the central incisor and asked if we would fix it this time, she said Next time not only this but we’re repositioning the brackets and it’s going to be a long time there. She checked out my elastics setup from last time. She said NONE on the left and the same two on the right: Top Canine to 2nd Pre Molar, and Top 1st Pre Molar to Bottom 1st Molar. Same Zebras. They look like they’re on Crack LOL. On my way out my ortho wished me best of luck for surgery. Made Appointment for October 3rd 2012 at 1pm. I told the receptionist about the new lady hurting me and she told me she used to be an orthodontic assistant and she used to hurt people all the time. The lady forgot to close the bracket door. I apparently didn’t check good enough and had to close it myself.

Hey everyone, I’m a little sick today. I went to the orthodontist today on October 2nd. She repositioned the front left central incisor and sanded that bottom of that tooth to fix the chip in that tooth. She added Zebras from Top Canines to the Bottom 2nd Pre Molars. My next appointment is November 165th at 8:20am. I got the same wires and everything. I got teal and lime green for my colours.

So normally I make youtube videos to go along with this one and updated my blog too. But I ended up with Meningitis right after my adjustment (NOTHING to do with the orthodontist I swear). I am just trying to remember what had happened. I know that I got the new lady and she was being RUDE. She made a nasty comment when I asked to floss when the wires were off she was like "Oh and you can brush your nasty teeth too." But I didn't say anything to the orthodontist or to her I just sat there crying and then she had the nerve to ask me what was wrong and I told her nothing. So this appointment was mean and I was NOT a happy camper. The both wires were changed not sure the size but I know the chipped tooth wasn't worked on again sadly. But my orthodontist thinks my teeth is amazing and she told me I've got 6 more months left bringing this to less than he 2 to 2.5 years she initially predicted. I got Brown and Orange (or what was supposed to be). So then I made my appointment for January 3rd, 2013 at 8:20am.
