I can totally relate...I want a juicy, dripping burger. I don't eat many anyway, but I can't wait to be able to bite right into bun material without hesitation, and have it be gone from my teeth with one swipe of my tongue! Oh the simple pleasures.

you are so right!!! *drools* mmmmmm even eating hot chips is hard cos i dont like it when you get a crunchy one or when one of the ends are crunchy but the middle is soft, so i end up ripping the ends off and eating the middle. IT SUCKS lol. :-+

Where there's a will there's a way get out the knife and fork just think of it this way it will last longer when cutting it up into small bites.

SECOND ADJUSTMENT!

I had my second adjustment this morning, and all went well, I got a bigger wire on the bottom and the top! I cannot remember what number it was lol but they are both the same size wire now, 0.6 i think he said. No idea, I really should listen to what he is saying to his assistant instead of thinking OUCH DONT PULL MY TEETH OUT lol. :yikes:

I got lilac ligs, and to be honest, in person, and from far away they dont look ANY different from the pink lol. I dunno, maybe a bit darker but maybe its a good thing lol. I am gonna go all out and get teal next time!! :) I already want to change them lol!

My teeth feel sore and already notice the pressure and the lightning bolts when they hit together, luckily so far no spasms! just me seeing if they hurt when they touch LOL testing the waters, and they do!

Weetbix for lunch today! Not sure what to have for dinner yet... hrmmm..

Here are some pics :)

First pic is since day one with braces to TODAY
day 1 to today.jpg
First adjustment until TODAY
first adjustment to today.jpg
I like the lilac ligs in the pictures, they look really good! Wish they were like that in real life lol!

Not much difference from the first adjustment to now, i always just look at the wire. Hoping my front left (right in the pic) front tooth starts moving or the one next to it starts moving forward cos they are still out of line and my canines are playing funny buggers too lol. Hopefully I will start noticing more movement with this bigger wires

oh yeh, i went in their quarterly draw to win an ipod again for having clean braces! i told him that i had a professional clean the other day lol but he said "your braces are very clean though and that is through your doing!" so i am like YAYYYYY!!! lol

exciting times lol.

look at it this way... if you eat the burger with a knife and fork then you can skip the bread and it will be better for your waistline :)

Nice pic's I like the pink and the lilac I see a differance  Thank you for posting pic's its very helpful to me to see the braces and see what I would like to have and see others progress. Getting my arch expander and top braces on June 27th I'm mostly looking forward to this but not to lighting bolts and a liquid diet I think my new best friend might be the straw for a while.

Thanks :) hehe, the liquid diet lastest a bit with me as I had teeth extracted so was scared to eat lol, so i just had protein shakes, TONNES OF ICECREAM lol, custard, etc, then once i was able to eat i would just eat weetbix or bread (torn apart and eaten on the back molars). These days I can eat alot of foods, but in MANY different ways haha, i only eat steak if i am at home cos i can cook it soft and eat it in small amounts, pretty much still no biting, just swalling whole lol you will learn to do that very fast lol. I don't eat spaghetti or noodles cos i cannot bite with my front teeth still, so i cant bite the noodles off etc, but if they are cut up then i can eat them lol. what a hassle! hahha. anything that is hard or crunchy etc i do not eat. I really miss crackers!!! LOTS! scrambled eggs work well too! yum!

you will get used to the pressure etc, and learn what you can eat after adjustments etc. Today i am having weetbix for lunch with a coffee and i had a protein shake for breakfast. so i will be on a soft diet for a few days then hopefully by the weekend be back to eating on the back teeth! :)

you will do great! and i wish you all the best :)

Looking good Rhibee! You need to just go all out with the colors! It's only for 5 or 6 weeks anyway- what's the worst that will happen? not like there will be any physical consequences- no one will get hurt so what the heck!! GO FOR IT!

The purple is pretty :) Too bad it's not so noticable in reality :( Most of the colours my daughter tried didn't really stand out a whole lot except the really bright blue and the hot pink.

Also burgers are one of my able to eat meals! No knife and fork needed (maybe I'm just a big pig-although I'd never eat one out-too much cleaning required afterwards!)

I think if i tried pink and then maybe teal and then went to purple people would notice, but i guess pink and purple are kinda close to eachother so people haven't noticed which is annoying LOL.

I saw a girl at gym last night with braces, and you know when you see another person in real life with braces you kinda want them to notice that you have them too? LOL or is that just me? :paperbag: lol. anyway i was doing weights at gym and i was like making a face so that my braces would stick out lol but i dont think she noticed. oh well, no sleep lost LOL! the things we do...

HOW do you eat a burger hun, man you are lucky to be able to bite into things :) YUM!

Burgers are soft Rhibee- you just gotta clean really good after one :-*

I only eat them at home- sure stuff gets all stuck and gunked up in my brackets, but thats why they make waterpiks, interdental brushes, floss and tooth brushes! LOL

It feels weird at first to intentional bite into something with the brackets but you get used to it- just be sure to bite into soft things.

I STILL cannot bite into anything, not even bread/sandwich.... i might try in another week once my adjustment has settled down and my teeth are not so tender. getting the lighting bolts at the moment, i have noticed since having the thicker wires my teeth have already moved heaps and my bite is different and noticable!

I can't wait to see my teeth after all this :) :) nice and straight hehehe

It took me ages to be able to bite into stuff, even soft foods. Now sometimes I'll be trying to gnaw at something and decide maybe if I keep going I'll break something :paperbag:

And haha, yep, I totally want other braced people to notice! Nobody does on me though. Because they're clear I just end up pulling stupid faces and people probably wonder what's wrong with me

The lightening bolts came back for me from time to time too, but not in the last 2-3 months. Hang in there! And the thicker wires totally make a difference. It took one of those to close my top gap  Glad things are changing!
