Hi and thanks callmes
, treatment is 18 months so I've got about 15 months to go I guess, yes I am happy about the braces... I'm already looking at old pics of me and thinking "woah! goofy"
****
I had my second adjustment last week, I took some new photos to check but it seems that my teeth have hardly moved at all in 7 weeks, which I expected tbh as I've been almost entirely painfree. The only change was a little shuffling on the bottom set where one of my extraction gaps has closed a little but a gap has formed between some others, it's like they're playing musical gaps.
Good news is, my ortho says I'm ready to have my wisdoms braced next appointment and I think that means a thicker wire too. I've really been looking forward to being fully braced and I've keeping everything crossed that it happens this summer whilst I'm off uni, and so that's great news and good timing, yay!
One last thing is I've dipped my toe into the world of coloured ligs... as at this adjustment I alternated the silver with purple on the bottom

Hi elpi,
I love the colour of your ligs...they look terrific!!
Your teeth look really good. It's hard to see movement unless you take pics of your arches, I find
. I'm sure they're moving, though...chin up!

Your teeth look great and I love the lig colors. I just got my braces on 2 days ago, seeing the movement your teeth have made (as well as so many others on here) is really what is keeping me from grabbing the pliers and ripping them off myself.
Thanks for sharing your progress!

I would disagree about the lack of movement of your teeth
I can see that your top arch wire has definitely straightened out from the last piccie to the present one (especially at the right side of the picture). It looks like you are definitely ready for a thicker wire
I love the lig colours - subtle, but a nice change from the silver. They look great. Will you be putting up the arch pictures for us to scrutinise??!

Thanks for the encouragement guys
I went for a check up with my dentist and a hygienist clean last week, everything is fine! yay!
Afterwards I took some pics of my arches... the ones I took after my first adjustment were a bit blurry so it's difficult to compare them, but you can probably see that I have a new gap on my lower arch (bottom right) and a bit of a poking wire grr! (top right) and things are rounding out that bit more. My top teeth are being that bit more stubborn but those canines take some moving don't they?!
Top arch after 1st adjustment

Top arch after 2nd adjustment

Bottom arch after 1st adjustment

Bottom Arch after 2nd adjustment
