Wow great to hear that revela!

New news - I am continuing my treatment! Basically it was financial and practical reasons. I couldn't get time off from my new job to come back to this place for treatment, and I can't afford the €5.5k it would cost in Ireland. But I have found cheap flights back here, so I'll be back in June and then again in August to get debraced. I'll let you know how I get on!

I'm so glad you'll be able to continue your treatment, but now I'm confused. :? You're going back in August to get DEBRACED? By that time, won't you only have had your braces for about a year? Will your treatment be done by then? If so, you're one lucky girl! I've got almost a year left... :(

Yes! I'm definitely getting them off in August, I can't handle flying back here more than twice! And I 'only' have and overjet to fix, I have about 3mm left to go, other than that my teeth are pretty straight.

But it's like an emotional rollarcoaster lately. I finally said it to my ortho that my two front teeth were getting increasingly crooked. She told me I was imagining it at first but finally admitted there was a problem, so she adjusted the braces. And then, within 24 hours, my two front teeth went from overlapping each other to having a GAP between them!!

I have had to learn to relax and just let the teeth look after themselves! :P

Congrats on being able to continue treatment a little while longer! Do you have a plan for getting your retainer? My guess is that they will be able to take the impressions at your August appointment but it often takes a week or so for them to get made. Will they send them to you or will you be able to get an Irish ortho to make them? Just be sure that you check in with an ortho once or twice while in retainers in case they need tweeking. Take it from someone about to become a second timer....good retention is crucial.

Congrats again on the good news!
