I agree that $250/month is overkill! To save money for Christmas, I made a deal with my ortho to roll over my Nov. and Dec. payment to January and I'll just pay off the entire balance, which is about $1700. I plan on maximizing my Flex Spending through work for 2016 so I can execute this brilliant plan of mine.

Smart, being a full time student and having to take extra classes along with a 30 hour work week, can't really opt for a 1700 payment lol! Time's are tough as per usual but definitely maximize the flex plan! Let me know how it goes!! :D

Anything to maximize my tax saving!

I tell ya, college students these days have it good...they can do student work and get paid well over $10/hr. When I was your age some 25 years ago, I worked 10 hrs/wk in the library at my school. I was paid $3/hr! And when I got my paycheck, I was so proud even though my pay was only about $40/paycheck. Hahaha

No complaints at all, of course the cost of living was different. I pay my way, I don't rely on any one's dime for my own life, Including my braces. But times have certainly changed! The college students now who don't appreciate the opportunities given to them are the majority unfortunately, but that's a topic for another forum I suppose, lol!

How long did it take for the holes to heal where propel was used? Could you see the holes? I am trying to get a sense of how big they are and how long it takes before you don't see them anymore?

It's good that you are doing this now! I'm 47 and just had them put on 3 days ago. Left my mouth dry especially the front. I have clear on both top and bottom and my kids can't see them. It really just felt like my teeth had weights on them. Day 3 and I'm used to it already. Teeth were sore and I had to watch what I'm eating but not a problem otherwise. Really can't wait until I see movement

For me there weren't really holes, they swelled up and got inflamed pretty quickly so the whole concept wasn't that bad. Couldn't chew a slug for a few days though and the overall pressure of it is just uncomfortable

That's great! Once you're used to them then you have gotten over the biggest hurdle. Congrats!!
