Thanks everyone for the compliments on the colours!!

Last night I wrote:
The tooth "in question" is still touching the bracket though, or at least I think it is. I'm not sure. I'm going to sleep on the though of calling them, and revisit the situation in the morning.
I ended up getting my mom to call. I said I could call since it's my treatment, but she ended up calling. I though they'd understand me better. Well my ortho is away for an entire week since the ortho's office isn't very busy around exam time. The lady told my mom to tell my not to worry. She said he (the ortho) looks after these situations of needing molar build ups done and such. He doesn't do them, he just tell them to do them and confirms that they need to be done. She said they can't do anything about it until he gets back. She said if worse comes to worse and the bracket comes off it's no big deal. She said when he gets back (in a week) to revisit the situation as my teeth may adjust and I'll stop biting the bracket or I'll go back in a week to do something about it. Also you can see in my pics on the previous page that my upper left central is the pesky one!!!

I'm back after a recent one week vacation to FL! I had an adjustment on March 18, 2008. I also had a very large project for school that I had to get done. Here's some pictures.

Pics added Apr. 12/ 08:

Blue powerchains on the top. I had a choice of grey or blue. :? On the bottom burgundy ligatures.

I had a lig fall off (from the bottom) on Easter Monday. Only 6 days after my adjustment!! I don't know why.

I had an adjustment on Apr. 29. It was pretty basic. Same old... same old. They took the powerchain off. Then the bottom ligs. The ortho popped by, took out the wires, then put new ones in. But different powerchains on the top in the same colour. He put blue ligs on the bottom. They complimented me on my awesome brushing!! :) I sometimes wish my case was a little more complex. LOL! See pics above for lig colours. :D

Its always good to see your story. I always enjoy high schoolers with a positive attitude. You mentioned that you wish your case was a bit more difficult so you'd get more attention fro your ortho. Let me reassure you that being an "easy" case is a great positive. My son, who's in phase one, gets his off at the end of June. He started six months after me. At his last appointment he asked Dr. P how much longer I had. She replied three or four more years. I'm afraid to ask her if she's serious.

It sounds like you're making great progress and you to soon will be wire free. When you do remember you've worked this hard to get the privilege to wear your retainer. Do it as recommended so you don't return as a second timer.

On a Mac note, are you a hacker? If so google hackintosh.

Seems lie an interesting summer break project.

Mike
I wore braces (this time) for 1294 days or 3 years, 6 months and 17 days.
But who's counting?

Hi Folks,

I haven't been on in awhile. Been busy with exams. I don't have pictures from my last adjustment. I forgot. I had grey powerchains on the top and light purple ligs on the bottom. That adjustment I was diagnosed with tongue thrust. I brought it up and he asked me to swallow. I did a few times and he said "Yes you do." He told me where to rest my tongue.

This adjustment I got elastics. I have dark blue powerchains on the top and dark blue ligs on the bottom. The elastics are Elliot 1/4" (5.4mm) Medium 4oz (113.4g).

Here are some pics (they're not very good sorry):

I don't have to wear elastics anymore!I only had them from one adjustment to the next- how quick is that?!! I'm almost done!! I have a "check-up" appointment on Sept. 16. If everything goes well then I'll have both top and bottom removed Sept. 23!! How exciting is that?!!

Here are some pics- I took them of myself so they're not very good. My teeth don't look good in the pictures because I had the flash off and I can't take pictures of myself.
