Hooray! I'm an inspiration!!!
Congrats on starting the braces journey, Denise, it's something I'm sure you will be thankful for the rest of your life. I know I will be. When I got braced I remember thinking "What have I done?" too, but now, I find myself getting MAD that I didn't do this sooner!!! I'm sure in no time you will feel the same way.
Can't wait to see your pics!

Hi Denise, congrats for starting your journey!
It is interesting that your son have braces as well and you are going through this together! You have someone at home to share the experience with
Good luck for your journey, and I hope you won't need that surgery!

Hello Denise,
Thanks for your reply.
I'm going to get braces on the 18th. Nice x-mas gift...lol.
I have 3 weeks of vacation to get used to them before school start next year (teacher). I hope in this period I can get used to them, that's why I asked you about those "21 days".
I will post my stories when I get them.
Hope everything goes well with you...Bye....Marvin.

Hello Denise,
I hope everything is OK with you (no pain).
I just looked at your pics btw nice ones and I had 3 questions:
1. I think my ortho use the same clear brackets like you have, do you know what is the name of them? (ice or 3M Clarity or ....)
2. Why did you choose to go clear upper and metal lower and not all clear?
3. The upper brackets looks bulkier, but did you (your lips) already get used to the size of them?
I don't know yet if to go all clear or do it like you have.
Bye....Marvin

HI,
your story sounds quite similar to mine. I quite my ortho stuff when i was 15, and not much was actually corrected.
-35 yrs old
I am 31
-Upper and Lower crowding
-I was told so, too. But i don't really agree in my case
-Extreme overjet (will get exact measurements when I go next. I measure about 8mm)
- I have overjet, but not that bad as yours.
-Medium overbite
- I have severe overbite
How long was your treatment estimated to last?
I was told 20 months.
Well, good luck!!!!!!
Nina

Denise it's great that you took pics to compare with later. At first I didn't think I would want to, but after a month of being braced I decided I wanted to be able to monitor my progress. You'll look back on these pics in a few months and think, "Wow! I can't believe they used to look like THAT!" Trust me... I do that everytime I look at past comparison pics of myself!
