I would not mind having platinum on my teeth, though.

And at the end of my treatment I would make a necklace out of them.

I am so clever...

I had booked general dentist on 01.10 at 8:00 and ortho 01.10 at 8:30 (for records and molar bands)...

Not enough time for filling a cavity. I called GD and got my one cavity filled today. Next appointment on 01.17. Then will be my last cavity on my front tooth filled :).
Just wondering if it possible to fill it while having spacers on, as the cavity is between my first and second upper teeth, which are little bit over each other.

My dentist said that my teeth are now in good shape :). Well, one would expect that after visiting dentist last three months religiously...

hmmm

I went to day for records. I did not see the ortho at first at all. I was told that get an upper retainer next week. I paid the fee and I was told you are ready to go.... I was quite suprised as the assistant did not tell me what for I need a retainer. looks like Hawley.

I told I want to see the ortho, because I want to know what I paid for.
Well, I saw the ortho. He explained me the plan and then we discussed about my nickel allergy. I will get titanium lower braces and ceramic or clear upper braces. Also, later in my treatment I need stainless steel wires, but reckoned that I won't get allergy from them.

I will get retainer up and braces down on 01/26/07. My lower teeth have to be levelled before the upper braces come. Retained prevents me to bite lower brackets off. This phase lasts couple of months.

Thanks!

Yes, I was quite suprised, especially as this assistant did not even mention about the lower braces... I did not understand what the heck I am going to gain only with retainers :)
The lower braces came to the picture after the ortho came by.

Well now someone from the ortho office called me asked that I am clear about the treatment plan :D

I could not really ask anything as I was in my office, but I wa told that first my lower teeth are opened with braces. Uppers on retainer at that time. then upper ones and later on elastics. Nothing about extractions :)
I won't let them to pull healhy teeth!!!!!!

Hahaa, I think they noticed that they were very confusing yesterday.
I tought that I was quite rude asking for the ortho and complaining that I want to know what I am paying for...

oh, then she told me that my second molars will be bonded. What does this mean? Which ones are usually bonded. I
don't have last molar on my lower left. I was told that I need a implant in some point of my treartment.

Tomorrow getting spacers and my upper retainer.

I got my treatment plan by post. It takes 20 months

1. lower braces and upper retainer for 6-9 months.
2. upper braces
3. elastics

It seems that my lower teeth are a mess. It is bit a shame that I need to wear a retainer, because you don't really see my lower teeth too much.

Juhuu!

I got 5 spacers on my lower teeth. Five only as I lack the second molar on my right side.

I just wonder why they are banding my second premolars in addition to the first molars. I am not going to get any special thing like expancer etc.
I did not bother as the ortho, because I was in hurry to get to work. I have late this week, because viviting my general dentist.

I don't really feel the spacers. The assistant was using a lot pressure to get them between my teeth.

Thanks!

My molars were full of cavities, but my perfectionist general dentist filled everything very nicely. Even onmy top front teeth between first and second lateral was a cavity. You can hardly see it :)

My general dentist is the best!!!

Nina, those are great photos!
You will have an amazing result at the end of this. Your uppers are much straighter than mine were but I also had a very narrow smile with black spaces at the sides of my mouth. It's incredible how broad my smile is now without use of an expander! I love my damon 3s.

It's good that you're doing well with the spacers. I hope all goes well with the retainer and braces when you get them. :D

I had/have those black holes and they will disappear once your arch rounds out. Mine are going away. Hang in there with thos spacers. Once they come out you'll be home free.

I guess in that case I don't even feel the braces :D
I hope those black holes disappear. I have only couple of pictures taken on me having a full smile. Usually I smile my mouth shut or just a little bit.
