My journey alone to straight teeth?? pics included

#1 Post by kristi »

Hi,

My desire to have straight teeth began when I was in my mid 20's. My teeth have always been really crowded on the bottom and and just as messed up on the top. Anyhow... when I reached 35, I began my quest to do something about it. I went to the dentist in January 2008, referred to an ortho. So the journey began...... I went in for my consultation and decided to just go for it. I had spacers put in that were BRUTAL.:cry:The assistant teared up with me while they were forcing them in between my back molars. I almost decided at that very moment to say, forget this. I stuck it out and my lowers were braced with ceramics on February 19, 2008. I went back on March 19, 2008 for my top to be wired. I had initially agreed to get ceramics on lower and upper but I hated the ceramics so bad that I went with metal on top. It's odd but oh well, I just feel like I have a custom set of teeth. lol

I will post my pictures as soon as I figure out how..... :D hopefully later on tonight...

Thanks Pearls! I am amazed at the progress on my bottoms and at my adjustment this past week, the Ortho was excited too. The pain in the beginning has already paid off!! :D

Nice to see another adult that actually chose metal brackets!! I am so happy that I went with metal instead of the ceramics. They just seemed to be right for me!

Good movement!

Hope mine move that quick! I was braced yesterday 4/21 and turned 39 today! I also went with metal brackets. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.
