I got my upper arch done and so far no pain yet. Not that I want any. :) My dentist was in a hurry so he decided to do the lower arch March 15. I got it done at NYU College of Dentistry. My dentist is too busy. I was suppose to get it all done today, but he was running late and his assistance was no where to be found. He is also going on spring break next week so I have to wait 2 weeks to get the lower arch brace. Well at least the top is done.

I got mine on Monday, top and bottom, they are very very uncomfortable aren't they? My lips were all cut up at first, it's going on the 3rd day so that has gone away, now it's just a constant irritating- non chewing- throbbing feeling in my teeth and gums! how is it going? Why did you need braces? crowding? gaps? well ttyl!

I have 4 gaps on the lower arch so I wanted them close. Ortho said he has to do upper and lower so my bite would be ok. Right now i'm eating piece of chicken breast slowly on my molars. My 2 front teeth is so tender though. :( Could have been worst. Last night it took me 20 mins to floss, at least i got it down. I'm just trying to do my best to keep my mouth clean. Sorry about the pain girl. My pain is coming March 15. :)

Maybe in about 2 weeks when I go in to get the lower arch done i'll be feeling pain. This site really help me alot to cope and I also did alot of research by asking people around my way who have in braces about their stories. I only hope its not going to be so painful for me. Right now the only thing that is bothering me is one of the hook on the bracket irritating my cheek. Good luck and thanks Wax!Image

I went back to my ortho to get the lower arch braced. I got in 3 spacers. The spacers will be out next Wednesday. :) The retractor and getting the spacers on were the worst. My ortho told me that i'm really doing an excellent job with keeping my mouth clean. :thumbsup:I had a grilled chicken sandwich and all the bread got stuck on the brackets.Thank God for toothpick, water and a mirror. I had to cut up my sandwich really small. not a problem! Right now only the spacers are bothering me a little bit, and my lower lip looks swollen, apart from that i'm good.

I got two molar bands put on today.

It took about 30 minutes to get them to fit.

No pain so far! :)

I got my first adjustment today. My dentist told me my teeth are aligning just great and that it will take less than 2 years. He change the wire to a thicker one. I brushed my teeth without the wire. Feels great!

I've just finish eating curried chicken with white rice. I'm not feeling any pain so far. My next adjustment is for 6/07...
