I'm female, 30 ( when my braces were put on), now 31 . I have Inovations, with the doors that open at top, they are easy to clean. I am supposed to have them for 15 months, starting in January 2009. I have had several adjustments.
As can see my back molars don't line up properly, and my gap in my front teeth.
Only 9 more months!

Your teeth look similar to mine with the disastema. Do you know how big your gap was when you started? Have you seen improvement with the powerchain? My gap is most definitely smaller than when I started, but my ortho hasn't used powerchains either to close it.

The powerchain make my four or five teeth sore, it feels like the powerchain is pulling on my front teeth. So yes my front teeth are sore, but I have just gotten the powerchain put on so there been hardly no movement yet, I will post new pictures when more progess is made.
Next adjustment in September.

Latest update.
My orthodontist has put wires on my front lower arch to keep them together ( figure eights). And she took on coil out cause the this lower coil already did its job of creating space. Still have a power chain to close my front gap.
Still eating very soft foods. Also went to the dentist and got 8 sealants for my bacteria prone molars.
I found a dentist in a nice part of town. Shes really cool.
My orthodontist says eight more months.
I'm working on pictures.

update:
Have problems logging on for a while, but problem resolved now.
Got my braces off after 8 to 9 months. I was kinda scared of getting them off especially when she had to take the glue off my teeth, it sounded really bad like someone was torturing me. Anyways I now have clear essix retainer for bottom and top, so my teeth don't go back to where they were. I use mouthwash, toothpaste or retainer brite to clean retainers.
In all I spent about 9 months in braces. I'm still not satisfied with my teeth, but for now I guess I have to live with it.
will show pictures later when I can devolop them. Thanks for all the support this website has!!

Sorry its taken so long to get back to you computer problems with logging in.
Anyways.
I'm still not satisfied with my teeth, but for now I guess I have to live with it.
I'm thinking of getting braces again maybe the clear ones or invisalign maybe in the suburbs of the city I live in by another female orthodontist.
My female orthodontist some of the weird instances that were said, "Is your bite always like that" or I'm not looking for more problems I'm looking to get my teeth aligned correctly so I can go about my life. The end.
