Hello! So I'm a 21 year old girl who started off nearly a year ago browsing through this site thinking.. if only I had straight teeth too.. and the guts to get braces. And here I am now 4 months into braces with an every straightening top row of teeth

Here are a few pictures of the progress so far.. ( I appologise for the crappy photos.. as you can see photography is not one of my strong points!)

I have the Clarity Self Ligating brace.. and this is how it all began..


This is week 8.. after my first adjustment


And finally week 16 and a 2nd adjustment..


and a nice big hole from an extraction today


Nothing to do with the brace as they decided on expansion instead but because of an awkward tooth.. which really did not want to come out! And wasn't painful until I kept ramming it with my tongue

I will be back with more fuzzy photo's after my 3rd adjustment.. where I should get braces on my lowers too.. oooo..[/img]

Welcome and congrats and plucking up the courage to get the braces on, it is a difficult thing to come to terms with. But all worth it in the end.

You've had really remarkable movement in your first few months, your teeth are aligning very nicely! Congrats!
