I have been to three orthodontists in Nairobi, kenya ( there being 6 in the whole country). Locating them was difficult as only one maintains a website for his practice. I finally went with the orthodontist I felt most comfortable with and luckily the least expensive of the lot. He's charging $ 2125 for ceramics top/bottom as compared to others charging in the range of $3500-5000 for the same. Got braced today and except for thee weird mouth feeling its so far so good but its too early to tell as tomorrow morning could be a different story

I am from Kenya myself and live in the U.S currently. Are there really only 6 in the whole country? Guess that's not surprising. My cousin wore braces in Kenya about 5 or so years ago and I did find that odd when I visited. She was finishing high school and starting college at the time. Welcome. Take pics and keep us updated.

I guess it's a demand and supply issue; teeth take a backseat to other pressing needs u don't even see kids with braces here. When pals and family have seen me with them it makes them a bit conscious of their teeth ;hope I motivate some of them to take the jump. Lemme get a good camera and will post pics. all the best with your journey also!
