I've been wanting braces for a few years now. Ever since my wisdom teeth began to grow and my front teeth became crooked. Long story short, I got braced on 15 december 2010 so I am now almost 2 months into treatment.
I'll post a few before pictures as well a some from the day I got braces and from 1 month. The estimated time of treatment was anywhere between 1,5 - 2 years. I chose sappihre because they're less noticeable (I will get married in september).
I'm a little bummed now, it seems my 2 front teeth are even more crooked now then they were before braces. I have a ortho appointment on friday, will talk to my ortho than. I sincerly hope this isn't a mistake and she knows what she's doing. I don't have braces on my lowers yet because of an overbite, I'll get them in 3-4 months.

(the white archwire was not really a good idea, it chipped after the first week)

2 months (excuse the yellow ligs, I smoked too much due to exam month in school):

Congrats on getting braced!

I've noticed that many people say that they think their teeth look worse before they start to look better ... so I'm sure you'll start to notice some progress soon!

Also, your clear brackets look nice! I'm getting married in October so I have chosen to go with clear also.

sjs8906 good luck :) I agree that sapphire looks very nice :)
So, I went to my orthos yesterday. She explained that everything is as it should be. She also activated my left incisor (it's not fully activated tho, she used a special word for it that I can't really remember nor know to translate). Pain started 10 minutes after and I've been in a bit of pain all night. But this morning, when I looked in the mirror I was shocked! My left incisor moved quite a bit. Maybe not very noticeable in the pictured, but I can feel it with my tongue.
The above picture was taken last night, and the below one this morning:
