Everyone's got a story: what's yurs?

Greetings everyone,

I recently turned 25 and commenced with my orthodontic treatment. I have a class
III malocclusion which entails a cross-bite and under-bite. I've always been
ashamed of my teeth and I have not smiled in over 17 years. You may ask: why did
you wait so long to seek / get treatment. The answer is simple: growing up my
parents were not financially secure enough to pay for the complex level of
treatment I required. Since moving out from my parents and completing my first
university degree I've rewarded myself with the treatment. it will be a costly
journey but I need this to feel good. I know there are many people out there
struggling with appearance and their smiles, and I want you to take solace in
the fact that goals are achievable
. I will you all well on your journey to a
better smile and better feelings. I've provided a link to my blog with hopes you
will follow and allow me to share my experience with you and vice versa.

here is the link:

I'm new to blogging so please bare with me as I uncover the hidden treasures of design and detail. I notice that many of you have wonderfully creative blogs and kudos to you! Hope to learn and interact with as many people as I can. From one brace face to another, lets transmit lots of hope and encouragement together!

Yurs in smiles,

shy guy in Canada

37 years old, and decided to get braces before I get pink slipped (I'm a teacher in California) and end up without insurance. I just got spacers 2 days ago, and they hurt like hell. Always wanted braces, since my bottom teeth are actually crowded and I was told they will have to shave the sides of some of my teeth to make them fit! sounds scary, but glad I won't need jaw surgery like some people here. looking forward to braces next week, since I have read from many that they feel better than spacers. :ouch:
