Wow - your tops look pretty good already! You'll be amazed at how quickly things move with that first wire they use - in about three weeks you should see a big change.
Good luck!

Thank you! I'm so excited to get my wire put back on tomorrow to start seeing some changes in the crooked teeth on the bottom. It took me till I was 26 to get braces, but you're never to old I guess huh?

Hi Nikkistixx!!
Are you, by any chance, a Motley Crue fan? I think of Nikki Sixx whenever I see your name...
I agree with SilverGirl - your upper teeth already look pretty good, so you can only imagine how much better they'll be at the end of all this. She's also right about the quick movement within the first few weeks. I saw immediate changes in my lower teeth (which I never had a problem with) within about 3 weeks... and it's only gotten better! We have the same brackets, too. (Well, I replaced my uppers with Radiance clears, but my lowers are still Damons.)
The pics of your "wireless" teeth totally brought me back to my brace day: After they installed the brackets, they had me go over to the sink to rinse my mouth. I took one look at my bracketed-but-not-yet-wired teeth and had a minor panic attack! They looked so HUGE and... SCRATCHY!! There was no turning back by that point, so I was relieved once the wire went in and the procedure was done. Wireless teeth look mighty strange.
Good luck with your extractions healing. As long as you follow doctor's orders, you should heal nicely.

Haha no, but I think my mom was! I go by Nikki and my husband would call me nikkistixx so it kind of stuck.
I'm so excited to see my bottom teeth move. I have been looking at everyone's stories and it seems like the bottom teeth usually move the fastest. I think my top teeth are going to be the "difficult" ones. They stick out pretty far!

Good luck with your extractions. I'm finally feeling normal again after mine were done on Monday. Now to learn how to not smile so big so I don't look like a toothless mess!

I haven't really noticed much change. It's only been a few days. I can't wait to start seeing those bottom teeth move. I got my extracted lower pre-molars filled with some clove medicine?!?!?!? I believe I had two dry sockets, so that has been rough to deal with all week. I hate that I went into the whole process on Monday thinking the extractions were going to be a "piece of cake". When I had my wisdom teeth taken out that were impacted and angular, the recovery was simple and easy.
So I figured since it was just pre-molars I was golden. I couldn't have been more wrong. These extractions have taken my entire week away from me. I have two kids and I haven't spent proper time with them because I have mostly been in bed and taking ibuprofen and vicodin, all of which did absolutely nothing at all!!! Now that the medicine is in there I feel TONS better. It's like night and day!

Ugh... girl, I feel your pain! Dry sockets are NOT fun. I had one when I got my wisdoms pulled 13 years ago. The two on the right side were no problem at all. Two weeks later, I got the left ones pulled, and was in pain from the minute I got home, until a week or so later when I couldn't take the pain anymore. They put that clove-smelling stuff in the hole, and it cleared up almost immediately. But before that, I was LIVING on Vicodin. To the point where I turned down a refill because I was liking it a leeeeeeetle bit too much. I've heard that lower extractions are more prone to dry socket, for some reason. I'm glad you're feeling better. That should be the worst of your braces pain, in my opinion.
Oh, and about Motley Crue - now I feel REALLY old knowing that your MOM likes them! I guess I could be your mom, too.

Yeah, I figure it could only get better from here on out.
I guess each wire adjustment will bring it's own pain. But at least the extractions are done.
They had also given me vicodin. But I hate taking any kind of pain pills. So I get very nervous even having to take one. So I took one the first day and some Ibuprofen. And than the next day just Ibuprofen, I think that was the day I got the dry socket. Because when I went to sleep that night I woke up later in awful pain. So I was taking 1-2 vicodins a day and I felt like they didn't really do more than the Ibuprofen. And by day 4 of pain I upped my Ibuprofen up to 3 pills at a time. I guess I could of taken 2 vicodins at a time, but like I said before I just don't like taking the stuff. Not that it makes me feel weird or anything. I just worry about dependency. Hehe! And they had only given me 10 of them and I didn't want to go through the entire bottle! I'm weird!

Also by the way I feel like my two front teeth are beginning to stick out even more!! What's up with that? They already stuck out bad enough.
