Excited:My upper and lower teeth are almost touching!

Hi you guys!
I haven't posted in the board since I first got my braces . In February 2011, I began treatment for the correction of my open bite caused by thumbsucking and had to have an orthodontic appliance placed at the roof of my mouth. This habit appliance has probably been the most frustrating part of my whole experience.
I cried so much my first few months, these braces were something that I really wanted but here I was a 21 year old college student barely being able to speak very well because of it...with a job mind you, that required me to give tours! So yes a lot of the tears were out of pure frustration.

But here I am now eight months in with a habit appliance, a power chain, blue gel on my back molars AND I just received elastics at my last appointment which was just this past Monday. There is just so much going on in my mouth at the moment.

So...the reason for my post! Never in my life have my upper and lower teeth been this close where they are ALMOST fully touching. It's really exciting. I can't quit looking in the mirror! I feel like it has something to do with my elastics/rubberbands that I received on Monday. They work pretty quick! I feel like my teeth changed over night! I wear my elastic from my upper canine in a triangle shape connecting to two of my bottoms. I will have pictures to show you. I want to show you guys my transformation from month to month, you will be surprised.

I'm thinking about starting a blog. I have so many pictures of my teeth,I feel like this would be a good time to start posting.

As a person with an anterior open bite and correcting it only with braces I didn't find that much out there on the web so maybe me blogging will help others. I will post the link soon as I get started. Does anyone know a good blog platform ?

I just wrote this post from my phone, that is how excited I am. I want to share my journey with anyone who is willing to listen.

Greetings: I have entirely different issues than you, but I totally understand your excitement. For 2 years, my total 'bite' has been between 2 back molars. Have TMJ issues that had to be addressed first; then I got braces 3 days ago. Pretty traumatic for me, but coming here and reading these posts are very encouraging.
