Any experiences on Mini-screws to fix anterior open bite?

Hi.
I was searching but I didn't find nothing very actually in the forum about this topic.
I have skeletal open bite and the idea is to fix it with surgery. Nevertheless, I was thinking about the miniscrew (skeletal anchorage) treatment as a possibility to intrude my molars to avoid surgery.
If there's someone who has experienced with that method and achieved acceptable outcomes I will be thankful of reading it.
